Same issue same window. The other day it took me about 20 tries before I successfully got it to reset - not sure what I did different to make it finally work. This can be really frustrating when you are in a hurry and can't secure your vehicle. And, it's always this window (which also gets used the least) - what's up Ford? Clear issue. I sometimes catch this problem by hearing extra wind noise and realize that the window top is stuck outside of the seal. I drop the window and it goes "boom" back into the track.

The key to the reset procedure actually working is to NOT pull the window switch all the way up or press it all the way down when doing it. There are two tactile “click” positions each for up and down. The second (full lift/press) is the auto open/close. Don’t use that for the reset process. Careful pull up and press down only to the first tactile click position which is the manual open/close.

I learned this the hard way trying to reset my back passenger window about 30 days after purchase.

Also recommend you wipe the weather strips and window edges down to get dust off before trying a reset so there is minimal friction for the window as it slides up.
Interesting. I recently noticed that as that window goes down, it struggles more with the last 3 inches (that's what she said), and I wonder if that is triggering the confusion of the sensor.

It happened to me one day, front passenger window but only seems to do it if I use the global down function. It only does it once then I can roll it up. it was my first time using the global down and I used it about 4 times that day and it did it every time I parked. I just stop using the global function.

Also sucks when a monsoon is coming and the window won't go up!

Does it even work if you do the full-two-click up on the switch? I only do it on the first click 👍 I have also cleaned the weather stripping, and it still does the same thing unfortunately. I appreciate the tips though!!

I tried it all the way up/down (2 clicks) 4 or 5 times and it didn’t work and I was pissed thinking I would have to go to the dealer. YouTube was my friend. Someone explained it just like I did and it worked the first time for me. Don’t remember who or I’d post it.
