Hi folks, new Bronco owner and live on the east coast of canada where during the winter we can experience several freeze and thaws.

Just wondering if anyone has had a issue with the power windows getting stuck and not doing the auto open when you go to open the door

Once or twice here in Va. If I know we are gonna have a freeze or freezing rain, I will crank mine up a few minutes before I go out. This usually remedies the problem. engine warms fast with the two turbos.

It's a nature of the ford windows that it will happen, regardless of where you live, unfortunately.

I've had that happen on power windows in vehicles from a number of different brands. This is my first Ford and it's yet to happen but it has also yet to experience the same conditions as any of the other vehicles did.

worse than the windows freeing is the build-up of bullet proof ice on the rear fenders preventing you from getting the rear door open
Something else Ford missed in its proving grounds? That latest video post would make you think they would have seen that. It’s not a Florida problem thankfully.

What are these rear doors of which you speak?
I am warming up to them-- definitely noticeable as compared to the 2 door Rubicon. No choice for me though --wished they made the Everglades in a 2 door 2.7-- but you get what they got

I can vouch for that.

??

"fast". Not "faster".
Having turbos literally makes zero difference in how quick something warms up lol

Actually you know what.. I take that back.

Shit with turbos would actually warm up slower than something without (if only idling). Likely a negligible amount.. but still technically slower.

I’m in Southern Ontario and the last two mornings my windows have been frozen and not retracted. Managed to get the door open slowly, but couldn’t get the window to tuck back into the weatherstrip when closing. I ended up sliding my finger between the seal and window to break up the ice so that the window could drop. Not the end of the world, but a bit annoying when it’s -10 out. Remote start helps with the front windows because the vent blows right at the seal.
