I was thinking of doing something like this. I thought maybe I would mount it down low maybe on the left side of the steering wheel.

@TommyBronco, @Tricky Nick, or any other manual owners, have you disassembled your console yet? It feels like that blank plate will pop off pretty easily but I'd like to see the back side before I break something.

I have not. I was waiting for someone else to show me how. The other option was to just get a thin rectangle wireless charger and just lay it in there.

Honestly, after driving our mannequin for a while, the only reason i was going wireless on the charger was the wireless carplay, but i find just plugging it in to my cable works better.

also when going wireless with ApplePlay it uses your battery

I bought one off eBay years ago for $20 that came out of a wrecked car‘s sun visor. Was easy to install in my old car, but got to figure out way to do it on the bronco.

Thanks that’s one thing I still gotta figure out the garage door opener.

I just attached Velcro tape to my garage door opener and to the underside of my center console lid on my Tacoma. Totally out of sight and you quickly get used to button size (large for primary door) and position for my other doors. Plan to do the same in the Raptor.

I have MyQ garage opener app on my phone and connected to my garage. I can open garage from anywhere and its less gadgets in the car. Also have the MyQ which is generally great, especially with reminders for open door and remote opening/closing via internet, but….. it struggles in the driveway due to the limit of my home WiFi signal and cellular usage. Opening the app is a little cumbersome too. velcroing the garage door opener on the underside of center console lid is cheap, quick to use, easy to “install”, discrete and reliable
