Need Advice..

Would adding a 2-4 inch lift (Eibach Pro Coilover Stage 2 ) to Badlands Non-Sas have a major affect or limit ability’s when off-Roading/Rock crawling ?

My concerns is if going as high as 4 inch lift limit the ability’s of the Badlands with the changes in the shocks down travel position and articulation of the upper control arm ?

Is there a sweet spot number when adding suspension lift (2, 3 or 4 inches) that keeps Broncos full ability’s when off-roading

IMO, for best performance/reliability, there's a lot more to consider than just new coil-overs if lifting above 2"...UCAs, upgrade tie rods, steering rack bushings, rear trac bar relocation bracket. If going up 3" to 4" I'd seriously consider upgrading front CVs/Axles and steering rack.

I don't think any lift kit, cheap or high end, will ever get the suspension and steering geometry like the engineers originally designed it and the higher center of gravity doesn't help anything. So lifts to me offer nothing other than looks unless you REALLY need the extra clearance for big tires.

I have a full Fabtech 4' lift on my 21 Badlands. I run 2.5 coilovers along with all the pieces needed to do this type of suspension. I have not had any issues with the ride or steering, mind you no hardcore rock crawling here in S. FL, just what the parks can offer. But no problems with my build.

On Cooper Discoverer STT Pro 37's on BR Rapids 17's.

I am adamantly against large lifts on an IFS vehicle.

CV angles, tie rod angles, reduced down travel, not a fan.

Stick to 2" or less above the Sasquatch height. I am 1" above.

You will have much greater reliability and less chance of catastrophic failures that way.

I think 3.5” is max on a non Sasquatch badlands (3”with Sasquatch)…without diff drop…ujoint and tie rod angles are the limiting factor…over 2” I would at least recommend UCAs and steering rack bushings…

As others have posted, I'd get real nervous about all the angles, especially the CV's once you go over 2" of lift .
Even at 2" for a Squatch, I'd do a ton of research before hand. There were issues right out of the gate where too much droop would happen and pop the cv's at first sign of articulation.

There's a reason even Dana and RCV have had big issues with beefed up CV's as well.
Think about that a minute, Dana built the damn things to begin with!!

All you need is enough lift to clear the tires you have.

I don’t think I’m ready to commit to all those other upgrades by going above 2” lift.
I think a 2” lift with be more than enough for my off road needs.
Thank you

Feeling more and more like a 2” lift will be enough for my needs.
Thanks again

IMO, over 3" you need to start looking at a drop crossmember. Or you could get the extra inch with a body lift.
