Easy x-plan is $100 over dealer invoice pretty simple
It’s not always $100 over invoice

Invoice - (0.4*invoice) = X-plan price
Ex: $60,000 - (.996* 60000) = $59,760
MSRP of $64,000
Invoice of $60,000
X-plan is $59,760 + doc fees

Nice. Thanks for the clarification on the X-Plan pricing. I had thought that Ford had to include a vehicle in X-Plan pricing for it to be an official pricing option.

Technically they do but some dealers will use that formula and sell the vehicle at “X-plan price”.

Doing the math, X-plan would have saved me more on the BS DOC fee dealers charge than on the actual sales price.

That's the real savings on X-plan. It limits dealers to $100 in Doc fees.

Now, it may save a bit more since Ford raised the price by $14k.

Ok great but for me a hundred or few hundred over invoice is much easier to use as a rule of thumb lol in PA doc fees are $3?? Something so yeah pretty damn close to $100 over

True.

But worthwhile to note that dealers are not required to participate in plan pricing. It's a completely optional program Ford offers.
Correct , its a optional program. The dealership 1.3 miles from my house doeant take it anymore but the 15 miles away does.

So its over or under invoice? If over wouldnt this xplan price be $60,240 + limited doc fee?

Doc fee is limited by statute in a few states. PA is not one of them. Most are whatever the traffic will bear. Around here just about everyone charges $499. Which is BS for something that costs $17 if you go to a 3rd party MVD.

11. Can I be charged a "document fee" (doc fee) by my dealer?

Yes. Dealers will be permitted to assess up to$75 (AZ-Plan) or $100 (X-Plan)in documentary fees on each delivery to an eligible purchaser under the terms of the Plan, unless otherwise provided by state or local laws or regulation. Each dealer is responsible for complying with applicable laws or regulations.

  • What if I am in a state that allows the dealer to charge more than $75?
Unless otherwise provided by state or local laws or regulation: In states where dealers are not permitted to charge as much as $75 (AZ-Plan) or $100 (X-Plan)for doc fees, dealers would be capped at the lesser amount as provided by the state. In states that permitted more than $75, dealers would be permitted to charge the Plan customer $75 (AZ-Plan) or $100 (X-Plan). In states that permitted more than $75 and also required that all customers be charged the same amount, dealers may charge the Plan customer $75 (AZ-Plan) or $100 (X-Plan) and indicate any additional fees have been paid by Ford Motor Company as part of the AXZD-Plan Program dealer reimbursement on the buyer's order.

  • How does this change the $275 administration fee?
There is no change. The $275 administration fee covers costs of managing the New Vehicle Purchase Program.

Bear in mind that if you can get it at invoice that's cheaper than x plan...
The pricing ends up being very close to invoice when all is said and done after the calculations are made. My dealer honored X Plan pricing on my 2021 Bronco OBX purchase. If I recall correctly, Invoice was 96% of the MSRP on the base pricing and 94% of MSRP on the options. .04% was subtracted from invoice and a $275 admin fee was added. The end result was that my discount was about $2500 on a $54800 sticker price.

Anybody getting a discount on a new Bronco especially back in '21 should be very happy, I was thrilled to get my '21 OBX at MSRP.
