Ford made it pretty clear that until they can give
accurate estimates they just aren’t going to say anything. It sucks but it’s better for people to assume the worst at this point than under deliver on a promised date.
I went into my dealership last Thursday for an oil change. The fleet sales guy (Bronco Specialist) told me that he was told in no uncertain terms, they are not allowed to even give a general estimate to anyone when they might be getting their Bronco!

To not be able to give an idea if we are even going to be a MY21 or MY22 is an epic fail by Ford.
Maybe so, but Ford obviously doesn't know the answers.

One way to have more certainty, for those who want that, is to 99 an order and wait until there are fewer unknowns.

With the value of my Truck increasing $10,000 in the last 6 months I was really looking forward to that May email to help give me some direction moving forward. I was actually disappointed how non-helpful it was.

I also would like some estimate of a build date, some more direct information from FORD. I read where others have plans they need to make that is related to when they would receive their Bronco. For me, besides just wanting it; I have not invested 50K (amount to purchase the Bronco) because we were supposed to get an idea in May....well that fell through. If I knew this was going to run into late 2021 or perhaps 2022....I could have reinvested that $ back in December. For others it has been an interim vehicle or other factors. That May lack of follow through was a huge let down and no one can tell me that Ford was not aware of ongoing Webasto issues and that they could not follow through with their May "promise". So here we are....hurry up and wait.
Did the same... The markets were getting a bit shaky especially with the election, and even though you could hold it long term to recover any dips, in theory we were only had a few months before our Broncos. So I pulled out enough money to put me financially where I wanted to be with the purchase.

As some time went by I couldn't help but invest a small portion of that back in the market. But with no indication of a window, what the heck are we supposed to do?

Do I go out and buy a meantime 4x4 only to get a VIN on any given Thursday so I'm now forced to try to sell it and hope to come out even?

How long do I watch my money lose value by sitting in a simple money market account not earning me anything because I Don't know if I have weeks or months or another year?

Not sure if it is rumor or not but sounded like we may know more this month or next.... But I dunno.

And then there is the whole 99s who are going to pop back into the picture in just a couple of months. How far back in line will that push me?

Honestly, I can't think of a single answer to an unkown question that Ford has provided in a long time.

This have been one very odd ordering experience for me. Odd in the terms of in the past when I ordered, the vehicle was, or has been on the market a goodly amount of time. It was order it, and it will be along from 6 to 13 weeks (that 13 was for my new Ranger). This one I had to reserve just to get in line to order. Then because of my late reservation I order a '21 knowing it will be a '22. But, will that be a 2022, or a 2122. It's a crap shoot at this point in time. Being I ordered all but one of my new vehicles since 1986 this one has been a roller coaster for sure. I can't imagine what a person that just stepped into this "ordering a new vehicle" for the first time is experiencing.

With all that said ,thankfully I have my trusty Jeep to get me to my Bronco. Whenever that may be. So again thankfully I do not have too contemplate any interim vehicle until my OBX is tucked safely in my garage. :)

I love how people say they got more then you paid but what about tax ,in the state of NV state tax is 8.68% so if you paid 37.500 for it you pay 3.255 in tax then you have other fees to .

While I understand the frustration, if you want timing certainty right now (or any time over the last year) then 99ing the order or just waiting to put in an order is the best bet.

Pulling $50k from investments to make sure the cash was available for a vehicle that had never had a build date let alone a delivery date is a personal choice, but seems to put a lot of weight on assumptions.

Especially when money is dirt cheap and you could finance for next to nothing if you aren't ready to divest when the time comes.

Normally I would agree, but financing 50k would require a rather large monthly car payment. So although the money is cheap to borrow, I would have been forced to cash out as the months went by to cover the car payment.

This way I sold while on top and I'm guaranteed a Bronco with No payments IF I choose. Another thing to consider is that money is cheap right now but you can't get the loan right now. A year from now when we are still going to get our Broncos, will we still be able to get a loan for 3%?

I mean Amazon is only up 7% YTD and much of that was just the last couple of days ;)

Then you talk to a Ford / Bronco customer service representative and they try to say soon without commitment….I call BS. I would truly like to know an estimated date…good - bad or ugly. Sitting in limbo is BS and really unacceptable customer service.

Yep right with ya. I had a CD come due in April. So I was reluctant to renew it and did not...in a savings acct making nothing. The May build info did not come through so we still have no idea. So the $ sits in a savings acct making nothing. If I knew I would not get my Bronco till Q1 2022....I could have reinvested this for almost/or for, an entire year. I am not sure Ford realizes the planning that we customers do in correlation to purchasing a vehicle.....in this case; reserve, wait, promises missed, wait some more. Maybe we will know more in a few weeks.

Tell me your reservation date, order date, dealership name, and exact build spec, and I’ll give you a date.
