Today I became a manual purist.
I wanted a OBX with 2.7 sasquatch but it's way beyond my budget.

This is what a real elitist offroaded will go for: ?
Doors and Trim: 2 Door Bigbend
Color: Velocity blue
Engine and Transmission: 2.3 MT
Roof: MIC
Sasquatch: NO

Great idea!

Doors and Trim: 2 Door Base
Color: Velocity Blue/Rapid Red
Engine and Transmission: 2.7L w/10-Speed
Roof: MIC
Sasquatch: Yes
Packages: None
Interior: Cloth (Dark preferably)
Options: Roof Rack, Aux Switches, Steel Front Bumper, Towing, Advanced 4WD (Maybe)
DIO: Winch and offroad lighting (Maybe)
* denotes change from pre B&P

Doors and Trim: 2 Door Base
Color: Velocity Blue/Rapid Red
Engine and Transmission: 2.7L w/10-Speed
Roof: MIC
Sasquatch: Yes (w/ Advanced Auto)*
Packages: None
Interior: Cloth
Options: Roof Rack, Aux Switches, Steel Front Bumper, Brush Guard, Paint Protection, and Sound Deadening.*
DIO: Air Compressor and Rock Rails*

I’m flirting with black depending on the MIC true color. It’s awesome that the advanced auto is included in the Sasquatch package. The winch and lights were insanely priced so screw that. However, the compressor and rock rails are decently priced so I guess it evens out lol.

I have two "pre" builds geared up. Which direction I go depends a lot on the pricing (of course):

OPTION 1
Doors and Trim: 4dr Black Diamond
Color: Cactus Gray
Engine and Transmission: 2.7 Auto
Roof: MIC
Sasquatch: Yes
Packages: Mid
Interior: MGV
Options: Towing Package, Sliding Tailgate, Swing Door Bag
DIO: roof rack w/ rails and cross bars

OPTION 2
Doors and Trim: 4dr Badlands
Color: Area 51
Engine and Transmission: 2.7 Auto
Roof: Shadow Black Modular
Sasquatch: No
Packages: Lux
Interior: MGV
Options: Towing Package, Sliding Tailgate
DIO: NONE (cannot afford!)

OPTION 2 the entire reason for going Badlands (for me) is for the higher package upgrade availability and I really just like the grill and high end lights better. I probably will have to drop the package down to High and forgo the B&O system. IF that turns out to be a singular add on that is exactly what I will do. I might also have to down grade from Modular Hard Top Shadow Black to the MIC top which is significantly less (based on survey pricing). If I cannot get in the door on the Badlands then baby it's SASQUATCHED BLACK DIAMOND WOOO!
Ok here is where I am at...

After watching that interior materials video, and sleeping on it, man I just love the interior colors of the Black Diamond trim. More so than the blacked out BL trim with orange accents (which I do like, just not as much).

for roughly the same price I can get:
1) Black Diamond / Sasquatch / 2.7 Auto /Mid Package / MIC hard top / Tow Package = $50,010
or
2) Badlands / No Sasquatch / 2.3 Man / Lux Package / Soft top / Tow Package = $51,765

so it's sasquatch and eng upgrade with less interior features vs full interior package and basically nothing else...

after typing it out and comparing kind of seems like a no brainer for the Black Diamond. Love that Grabber Blue accent!

Pre i was all in for the following
Doors and Trim: 2 Door Big Bend
Color: AMB
Engine and Transmission: 2.3L, Manual
Roof: Black Modular
Sasquatch: Yes
Packages: Mid
Interior: Cloth
Options: Roof Rack, Aux Switches, Steel Front Bumper, and Sound Deadening.*
DIO: Fold out table, cargo lock box (if available for 2 door)

Post I've got to go Badlands to get the Mid with the Manual (WTF? And that pushes me up to or past my comfort point) And the options aren't even showing and how can I accurately price what I want with "late availability" stuff? Seriously considering switching to Stephens or Leonardtown for their offers.

I'm still here, but I've settled on Velocity Blue and I've added the potential for BaseManSquatch.

Post B&P was only $600 more than a similarly equipped Big Bend with a better interior. Thus the 'Mid-Life Crisis' was born.
