Tired of your pre-2025 Bronco’s infotainment looking old and dated?

Let’s fix that TODAY. 👇

How to upgrade your UI:

1️⃣ Grab a working copy of FORScan + an OBD adapter
2️⃣ Connect FORScan to your Bronco
3️⃣ Open the APIM module and search “theme”
4️⃣ Find QT HMI THEMES → change Classic to Smart Surface → write to module
5️⃣ Turn the Bronco off, then back on

⚠ Mine needed a head-unit reset (hold Power + Track Forward), but YMMV.

VIOLA. Your Bronco is now a 2025… ish (Still waiting on someone to crack that rear A/C mystery 👀).

Here's what the MY2025 updated theme looks like:

Maybe its my colorblindness, but I really dont see any difference...
Its a darker shade of blue, almost black. Consistent with the recent Ford Pass app updates. The button "textures" are embossed and edges are round vs square. There's a few others as you click through it.

Yes, but I am not sure if its tied to anything. I will let you know if I recognize a change.
Sounds good. One or two other folks with the 8" asked me as well. I sort of figured the 8" was a stripped down version of the 12", just operating at a different screen resolution.

It's not - the 12" can do some side screen menu things the 8" doesn't have the option for.

Appreciate you confirming for everyone else!

For those with the 8" sorry to disappoint you all!

This is pretty cool. Minor correction though - in your instructions you stated "Open the AS-BUILT module". It should be "APIM module" (and not the as-built version). Also in my Forscan v2.3.68 the setting was just labeled "Themes", without the QT HMI in front, but I don't know how common that is.

Great catch! Just fixed the instructions. What's what happens when I try to type on 3 hours of sleep!
