Build Intro:

Hey everyone,

Andrew here from BRBN. I picked up this 2022 2-Door about a month ago (July 2026), it's a base Sas w/ manual trans, which is essentially what I was looking for unofficially for the past 4 or 5 months. We still have our 4-Door Badlands, but the goals for this 2-Door are slightly different.

Objectives:

Fine tune 2-door specific spring rates, which will be added to our current Standard Series and HD Series Bronco coilover options.

Primary R&D on future products will migrate over to this rig (unless something 4-door specific is in the works)

More dedicated trail platform: It has advantages on the trails, sure, but obtaining this older/lower cost 2-door (compared to our Badlands) also gives me the willingness to be more aggressive on the trails (lol), which will naturally lead to more fun, more content, and more products in the future.

Take Note: I didn't document the past few weeks as well as I would have liked, since we were cranking away on getting it properly outfitted with our components and associated supporting mods, but I will aim to provide more detailed future updates on the build for those who would like to follow along.

Thanks!
Andrew

July 2026: Diving Right In!

Quick pic of how it looked when I took it home from the dealership. The following weekend I took it out locally with a pretty well-equipped Jeep and Tacoma to get some baseline feedback on how the 2-door performed offroad stock. As we all know, it's amazing how capable they are off the production line!

I quickly realized how long it's been since I drove a stock height Bronco, and came home with some reminders:

Early August 2026: Here come the parts:

Suspension:

As you may have guessed, we started by outfitting the 2-Door with our BRBN product line, which consists of:

BRBN 2.8 Series 3-Way Coilovers (Standard Series- 560lb/224lb)- More on this topic for 2-Door spring rates later on.

Mid August 2026- Protection:

For now, I am keeping the Ford skids that this 2022 came with and adding aftermarket protection to the areas that are currently still exposed (not done yet).

I sourced some components from our friends over at IAG Off-Road and Mountains2Metal (shout out to Nick).

Mid August 2026- Wheels & Tires:
My plan is to run the Ford Performance bead locks on these OEM wheels. I completely destroyed the OEM "simulator rings" this past weekend on some rocks (oops).

I went with a 37x12.5r17 mud-terrain by RBP. I was unaware they made tires but they had a fairly conservative M/T tread pattern, seemed to be a great value, so decided to give them a try. So far they seem to be performing well.

In conjunction with the OEM wheels & 37's, I am running 1.5" wheel spacers.

Other:
Installed a AFE high clearance stainless catback exhaust (will add photo)

Some photos with most of the above components all installed:

Plans for the near future:
Aside from getting it out on the local trails as much as possible & continuing R&D for our products, I plan to:
Finish underbody protection
Potentially replace the OEM rock sliders w/ an aftermarket brand
Winch setup
Rear lighting
Keeping an eye out for some OEM marine grade or leather front seats
Misc things here and there, I'm sure.

Upcoming offroad events I will be attending: If you recognize the rig out on the trails, come say hello!
September 12th- NH- Armor Ditch Offroad Park- Bronco Event
October 16th-18th- WV- The Fued ATR

Cheers,
Andrew

Saturday 8/22- Got out with a few members from NEBN, and did some local NH class 6 roads in the area for a few hours. Near perfect day for it weather wise.

Nice looking Bronco!
Thank you.
I was indifferent about the color initially (focused more so on finding one with the specs I wanted but didnt have to get on a plane to buy or have it shipped) , but now I like it.

I am A member of NEBN and watching your progress on the two-door Bronco. After this next winter season is over, I plan on getting with ya's to purchase parts to set up my 2 Door Black Diamond.
