Just an FYI:
Ford has brought back the window short drop feature.
Unfortunately this is specific to 25MY, and they do not mention anywhere about bringing it back or making it work again for previous model years.

Staggered pattern? Broncos only have two doors, right? ...right? 😂

It reads like the "staggered pattern" is the only part of the short drop feature that's exclusive to the 2025 MY. What is everyone else missing out on?

My 2024 and I am pretty sure prior model years does the short drop when each individual door is opened. It seems there is no need to do this to all the windows every time it is unlocked. Maybe it makes it easier for Ford to program it that way.

Yes, all broncos lower the window when you open the door, so will 25MY.
This is completely different.

I hope this stupidity ends at some point.

My '23 has this right? If I unlock from the fob it'll drop the window and then raise it back when the door is shut.

Is that what this is? Did they drop it from the '24s or something and then bring it back for '25?

Pointless to not do the same when you grab the handle as well.

Yeah same thing.
Some older models have it, some don't, some had it and then it was removed... it's a mess lol
If you currently have it, and you like the feature, I would highly suggest that you never update your DDM or PDM because it will likely take it away.

I'm sure there is some reasoning they cannot do that, otherwise they would have by now. That would obviously be the best way of making this feature work.

I don't get it... what's the difference?
This feature will drop the windows when you press the unlock button on the fob, or the unlock button inside the vehicle also.
Not all Broncos do that. Lots of threads on how this feature works floating around from when Ford first tried to make it work.

I fucked up and let it update. I’m worried about passengers shattering a window now. I would usually hit unlock before people opened the doors.

My 22 doesn’t drop. Never has and hopefully they can’t turn it on.

Why FORD keeps flip flopping ?????
Ford Bronco Window short drop feature returns for 2025 Bronco 1741708081844-n1
And...... you made me laugh uncontrollably my phone in the middle of a grocery store.

A+ gif.

----

Anyway, glad to see the feature is back, even if it's only 2025.

I will say the drop-down still works on my Bronco after I upgraded it manually. Don't think there is any pending DDM/PDM update either. 🤷‍♂️
