Cool idea, but a bit large to drag around? I recall about 15 years ago or so someone was going to sell 15' versions of a wind generator for your backyard, but that seemed to disappear.

good dudes, talked to them for a while at Overland expo. price Point is a bit steep, but if you have funds and want that redundancy for cloudy days, why not.

I watched the video, I’m so glad that thing started turning later in the video, otherwise it would have been a useless looking daisy ornament.

Interested to see how these look folded down! A little funny looking, but I’m into it.

Great idea if you are going to be parked for days on end but struggling to see the point if you have a battery backup system that will charge while the vehicle is running anyways.

There's been a lot of "World's First Bronco [x]" lately, and it feels like some of them will also be the world's last...

Props for trying, but I can't really see any sensible use case for this...

Wind generators barely work at home. You need constant wind with decent velocity. You usually need them high up in the air. Also, they are very noisy at small scale, and put out very little energy.

i looked into getting a smaller wind turbine to power a heater in my detached garage. The max output can barely power a lightbulb let alone a 24hr avg output, are too short to get any steady wind currents (even in the windy city) and have orders of magnitude lower ROI than a small solar panel.

Talked to these guys from Iowa at Overland East. Pretty cool invention. Think they were on version 2. Generated 100kwH during the expo.
