For the lazy...

Ford Bronco 2021-2024 Bronco RV & Trailer Towing (GVWR / GCWR) Guide From Ford 1710367576147-zl

I see they fixed most of the typos this year. (y)
I'm guessing the lower rating on the 4.7 Badlands is because she's heavy.
Would removing the spare (removing weight from the rear end) and using a properly installed sway/distribution hitch help make up this difference?
I'm also looking for some helper springs for the rear, but it's actually not bad the few times I've towed ~3200.

I'm just concerned since I'm near the limit, but I'm hoping my minor modifications would potentially raise that limit (if it were somehow reevaluated haha) just so it doesn't feel so close to the limit.

Not planning on going crazy with a 4000 trailer or anything 😆

So the 2024 Badlands with the 2.3L motor can’t tow anything in either 2dr or 4dr config? WTF?

Yeah it's a combination of weight, suspension, vehicle dynamics, etc.

A weight distribution hitch doesn't actually increase tow rating. It just... well... re-distributes some of the weight to the front axle rather than the rear axle. You have to be careful about axle ratings though, the front axle is obviously where the majority of the weight is on the Bronco between the bash plates, bumper, engine, etc. So you may end up redistributing too much weight up front.

BUT, weight distribution hitches can help with the overall stability and "drivability".

Removing weight is really the best way. Ditch the bash plates, rock rails, HD bumper, etc. etc.

2.3L is only available on the manual transmission now. (y)
That still shouldn’t result in no towing capacity… I tow stuff with my 7MT all the time.

Ditching weight.... Or upgrading suspension? 😶
(I know, doing everything other than the RIGHT thing, just trying to maximize the Broncos capabilities 😆)

I try to pack the weight more over the trailer axle (and forward) to also keep some weight off the Bronco, but really there's not much in there other than the water and generator lol

It's listed in the 2.3L w/ manual section of the chart. 3500 for 2dr and 3440 for 4dr

The table is split out by transmission, with the manual transmission table listed below the automatic transmission.

And it indeed lists towing numbers.
