Has anyone ran into problems removing the bolts that hold the beauty ring? I changed 4/5 to a darker color and the last one I attempted had two bolts that would not break. I’m worried I’m on the verge of stripping it. Any suggestions?

Make sure you use a Torx Plus bit, not the Standard Torx that is provided in your Bronco kit.
That’s what I was using. I made it through 4 tires without a breaker bar but the last two bolts on the passenger rear are ON there.

Heat? I haven't tried to remove mine yet. For those who have, any thread lock on the bolts? If so, i little blast from a heat gun should work.

Are you using an impact with the bit? An impact should break it free...

Hell I’m at the point of just pulling the spare and placing it on that side. I was able to get that one off.

Try using a shitty extension on your bit and smacking it with a hammer a couple times. That shock itself will sometimes free it up.

Impact drivers are awesome for this

Headed to pick one up. If it is partially stripped. Do you have any recommendations before having it drilled out?
The breaker bar should give you better control and more leverage. If you don't get it out with a breaker bar you probably will be drillng the heads off.

I like the impact driver, it's manual and you hit with hammer to back threads out, works great on rusted bolts.

There's the usual heat, but not the bolt, you want to heat the threads holding the bolt. But you have paint there so....

This is a new bolt, and i don't think they used thread locker on them. So that kinda sucks. Good luck.

Then you could always take to dealer and let them break it...

Use an impact wrench with a T45 bit.

Use a hammer and bang in the T45 bit in the TP40 fitting and then connect your impact wrench and she will come right out!
