Appreciate all the advice and replies. Can you point me to the kit you are talking about? Maybe I will do it myself.

I don't think anyone offers 5.38 as a kit and you have to buy everything individually, but I think it's all genuine Spicer parts so that's a plus.

I am watching to see how @Dusty install goes (mostly tooling). Like what @Tricky Mike says its really hard to overgear a Bronco with such a deep overdrive. You need more rpms to help keep out of boost in order to have good MPG.

I am tempted to buy a lower geared m210 but its cheaper to regear it yourself.

Just want to make sure this kit will work for my setup as I'm about to pull the trigger and have a shop do it

If you have front locker then you have a m210 and m220.

You may need a different pinion bearing for $50 if they send you a jeep kit.

We do, and it looks right to me. I can't wait to see how you like it.

I mentioned it to the shop as well and will have em make sure with nitro. Should be good.

$3200 was my quote and after looking into the install and the amount of fluid etc it's something I'd rather not have to do myself

Total estimate without tax. So likely a bit higher.

I placed all my sports bets before heading up the Rubicon sunday and came out alive, with no real bronco damage on tuesday with a fatter wallet so it's free money well spent.

Will definitely report back

DEFINITELY watching this thread as I was also under the impression that you could not go with a lower gear than the 4.70 in the M210.

My Bronco does fine in flat Chicago, but it struggled in Colorado on I70 this summer. Had 37" KM3s then, but have since upgraded to 38" Ridge Grapplers so I'm more in need of lower gearing.
