My Yaesu 400 remains located here:
After 9 months of it in this spot, I think I'd like to relocate it. It's partially in the way. of the glovebox, and not all that comfy for the passenger either. I use a remote speaker mounted to the 67D rail on the dash, so I'm not worried about the audio being heard. I'm hoping some other folks have come up with better spots. I know one user mounted his behind the interior fuse box, but for the life of me I could not remove that thing and have no idea how they pulled it off without a saw-zaw or taking the entire dash apart. I have the kicker key amplifier situated above the glove box right now, but am open to relocating that. Ideally, I'd still prefer to have some hands-on access to this thing as I do tend to remove the MicroSD card to make bulk changes to the memory settings using a PC.
and yes, I'm insanely jealous of you midland guys hiding that radio below the console, unfortunately my entire off-roading crew uses HAM
