Wondering if anyone else has encountered similar issues that I've been having with my 110V outlet. I'm planning a 2 week digital nomad road trip in a few days and need to rely on my Jackery 1000 power station for essentials.

Issue 1: Loose socket
Most plugs fit so loosely in the socket that they fall out on their own. I've semi-permanently fixed this with an Amazon product, but has anyone else experienced this? I recall similar on my Fusion too. just a @Ford Motor Company issue?

Issue 2: inconsistent power
By far the bigger issue. When I plug the power station in with the car on, it makes a cranking noise for about 2 seconds then stops. The unit then starts charging, but it cycles up, receiving power, and then cuts out. This process lasts about 2 seconds and repeats continuously. This essentionally does not charge the unit. The same does not occur when it is plugged into a wall outlet in the house.

Bronco fam, any ideas or similar experiences?

For the loose plug folks, this product seems to have worked for me. I was hoping for a more natural fix for the outlet itself.

Lenink Loose Outlet Plug Fix, 12... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D3GH4GQL?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

For the power issue, seems that the stock inverter does not supply enough power (watts?) For the power station draw. If anyone has any tips for upgrading, would be appreciated!

I had the same issue. I work as a service manager at a ford dealership. I had the tech warranty the outlet assembly out for a new one and the problem is now corrected. Extended warranty through ford will also cover this. See your local dealership, it isn’t uncommon.

As for issue 2, do you know how many watts it's pulling when charging? I know some power stations will pull fairly large amperage to charge quickly. Some PS makers now make a selectable wattage for charging. There were some stations that were almost pulling 1800-2000 watts. I don't know how the Bronco ac/dc converter works, or resets itself it it's maxed out.

Not off hand but this is the issue. The inverter on the 110v doesn't throw out enough juice. You can upgrade the inverter, but I haven't taken the time to see what that entails.

There are enough issues with the 110 that you shouldn't rely on it. From loose fitting, to not working, to one instance it was burning the connection.

If you have to rely on it, I would bypass using alternative charger/PS.

Luckily they sell a 12v cig outlet cable that should do the trick.

Do you have a link or other details for the solution you recommended?

I can not even charge my devices in the car because the outlets don't work. Sounds like you are saying this may be an easy fix. Thanks.

I have no faith in the quality of the outlets that Ford provides. Seeing the photos of the circuit burnt shook that faith. Then there are the numerous instances of it working and then without reason stop working. It is just unreliable even unsafe. T!ts on a Bull.

I have opted for the EcoFlow alternator charger and the Delta2 PPS.

Did you fix both the loose outlet and the inconsistent power under warranty?

The one in our 2020 Ranger is shit. I kinda expected the same in the Bronco. I haven’t tried it yet. Didn’t miss it in my standard package 2021.

I power my Bluetti with a dedicated 10 gauge 12v outlet. The 12v in the rear is trash too.
