Did 7Mile rim in Moab this weekend. I did Hells Revenge on Saturday and 7 mile rim on Sunday. I know hells revenge is iconic and is a must do at least once. But 7 mile rim was so much more fun for me. We drove out to uranium arch, and then down to Wipeout hill, then back up wipeout hill. This was the first time I have pushed my bronco to it upper limits. (2 door black diamond 35s) And to my mental limits. Wipeout hill was pretty intimidating for me. I really like that each time I go out, I get more comfortable and learn more of what my bronco can do. If you ever get to Moab. Definitely put 7 mile rim on your list.

The definitive guide, Guide to Moab, UT Backroads & 4-Wheel-Drive Trails, lists is as a difficult trail but a fair bit easier than Hell's Revenge. Hell's Revenge is probably the most difficult I might do with my non-Sas Badlands, but I'm not familiar with the trails that are listed as harder to know if they would be OK as well. Sevenmile Rim is 14th in the difficult section, Hell's Revenge is 13 further down the list (more difficult than that). There are only 14 more difficult than Hell's Revenge, many of which shouldn't be attempted by anything that isn't highly modified. The guide says that there is one tippy spot called I Lean that is not as bad as it looks, but some complex route-finding is required in places. Hardcore enthusiasts can take tougher lines.

thank you. I just received my copy and was looking through it. And it does listed as difficult. I'm fine doing a bronco wave, and been on some shelfs in Indiana. if I can crawl up/goose up it, I'll be fine. just dont want to end up somewhere not passable. I'll goto to hells revenge just to look :p planning everything out. will add these to the list.

thanks! Yeah, hoping to do the off-roadeo late summer at Moab then explore around a few days. Got my rock sliders installed and Talons skids ready to be installed and tested. :p

It’s more about how comfortable you are. The trail is not that difficult. There are plenty of bypasses if you don’t want to do the harder stuff. My bronco is a black diamond with a 2” puck lift and 35” skinny tires. 255/85/17. If you are new or just moderate users, then I would not recommend wipeout hill. But the rest is fine.

7Mile Pass is where I did the Off-Rodeo a couple years ago. I had done a bit of off-roading, but am no expert. I was a bit shocked when we got to wipeout hill that they were taking the group up it, but we had zero issues. What this tells you is they are willing to take people that have never been off pavement, and let them drive up something like wipeout hill. Good spotting is helpful, but it's not overly difficult (and is by far the most difficult obstacle on that trail). Just take it slow, and you'll be fine. I'm not sure if they still do 7mile for the off-rodeo, seems like I've seen reports the last year from another trail.

@AARDVARK122 glad you were able to the trail - I thought it was super fun, a good mix of obstacles, views, and some faster dune-style sections.

Top of the World is a good trail with a spectacular view at the top. There’s a gatekeeper obstacle early on that’ll tell you whether you and your rig should continue. The trail makes a loop part way through. Stay to the right (counter clockwise) for the easier route. I’d come back the same way if you’re concerned about difficulty. The other side of the loop is fun but definitely more technical. My 4 door Sas came down no problem but I think it would struggle to go up clockwise. If there’s any snow or ice it could be tricky

I did the off rodeo over 3 years ago. And they did a different trail then 7mile rim. And didn’t have anything ad difficult as wipeout hill. So maybe they changed their minds about sending newbies on it. 😂😂. Not sure which direction you guys did it. But we came in at the top of wipeout hill. And then went down it. And then back up it.
