Since I don't drive my Bronco a lot I put a charger/maintainer on it often to keep the battery up. I have a NOCO 5 amp that I use and have grown weary of using the charger clamps. Looking to install a NOCO GC002 eyelet terminal connector to make hook up of the charger easier and not use the clamps. I have the negative place figured to connect so as not to mess with the BMS. My issue is where to mount the positive eyelet to the battery post. In over 60 years of working on vehicles I have never seen a more complicated battery post connection like Ford's. Anyone else put a NOCO eyelet connector on their Bronco battery? Which bolt do you use to loosen the battery clamp to install an eyelet. Would appreciate any help, suggestions and pictures if possible. The worthless owners manual produced doesn't even tell you any on how to use their oddball clamps :). Thanks in advance

Any one of those those bolts on the positive terminal will work fine
I’ve had my NOCO plug on there since day 1, just yesterday I was cleaning up the wiring of my last few shadetree adds. It looked like someone used Spirograph with wires instead of ink.

During that I decided to route the NOCO plug via a shroud vent out the grille. (Charge up without lifting the hood).

I'm looking at NOCO's stuff right now, with the same idea of running the plug out the grille. Which model charger do you have?

You don't loosen the clamp. You use one of the several posts Ford gave us for accessories. The multiple accessory posts the bronco has is one of the best things about it, I wish every vehicle had it.

I mixed up my boost with charge/maintain applications. I’m set up for closed-hood charge. I use this. A Battery Tender. A motorcycle type USB extender also connects via the same connection for camping.
For a real strong charge I have another box on the shelf, I can’t remember the brand it is.
Boost I use this GB40.
Jumpers I made up are 4G alligator and Anderson ready, so that’s why the Anderson connector under the hood is there.

Sorry if I side mixed up the conversation. And yes that‘s a pic of my wiring “cleaned up”. Sue me, it’s a work in progress.

Any of the 4 posts, preferably one that's empty. Be advised, the two open ones are different bolt sizes and if you over tighten them will strip the plastic detents below. If you do the only remedy is to cut the bolt off. Ask me how I know.

I'm researching now to add a distribution block off my remaining free post now.

Where did you hook the negative ring.. On my 2022WT i used 1 of the small bolts on the negative cable + have always wondered if that was wrong for the BMS system .Have never gotten a warning.like I got after a battery change on my 2013 F150 before I did the BMS reset?

Any of the bolts off the side are ok (on the upper right in the pic) - just not on top of the terminal

I have a 23 F250 with dual batteries and a battery charger pigtail wired in. Works great and no drama. I wired in a pigtail to my 25 badlands 2.7 lux. This is where I noticed the weirdness. Both pigtails were wired into the body ground (post BMS). On the bronco, as long as I'm putting charge into the system, the system constantly goes through system checks every few minutes. I can hear actuators open close, grill vents actuate, fuel pump get ready, stop. When I say every few minutes it could be like 5 or 10.

At first I thought, hey maybe this happens for the first 20-30-60 minutes then stops. Nope, it was doing this 4 hours later, the next morning, that afternoon. I finally disconnected the battery tender and it stopped. I tried to wire in the pigtail direct to battery ground (pre BMS) and that didn't help. I think it's a bug on the bronco software or it is unique to my bronco.

The only way I can charge my battery is to pull the ground lead completely, hold it out of the way, and use pinch clamps on the negative post.

My wife's Sport will do this unless I throw the key fobs in the refrigerator.

I tried moving my remotes far away but maybe not far enough. I'll put them in a faraday cage and repeat the experiment in a few weeks.
