Fog Light Install/Adjusting

So I have too options for my bank of three Baja Design lights.

On one side the outboard and middle lights are in the forward most slot of the KR Offroad bracket. Pro's the lights are more FORWARD and don't appear as obstructed but con is the middle light is touching the bumper and I am concerned about it vibrating and get out of adjustment over time.

On the other side the inboard and middle are more recessed and in line with one another and outboard is still as forward as possible. Pro's: Less rubbing of the middle light but con's make the middle light more recessed.

Any thoughts before I button this up and adjust?

Sure, it’s “standard”. But that doesn’t make it good. They do seem to hold ok once you finally fidget them into place but it takes some effort if you aren’t an expert at it

One of mine does have a rattle but it hasn’t affected the lamps themselves - I’ve just learned to live with it.

Option 2.
You don't want the housing/lens to be in contact with the bumper.

I also think it aesthetically looks better with the 2 larger lights at the same depth. You won't have any issues with output, even being recessed a bit. BD's are badass lights!

You can actually set the lights back more in the channel so they don't touch the bumper. That's why we have numerous channels on the brackets, for this reason. USUALLY when we do an install we find that 1 light is sitting in the channel alone and the other 2 share the same channel. This allows the lights to sit nicely without touching the bumper at all.

That S2 looks good but your inner one may need to be installed different is all.

And the reason we (and nobody else) has just 1 slot for lights... is because you can CHOOSE the lights. Your not forced into 2x Squadrons and 1x S2. You can do 3x S2 which are smaller. Or 3x Squadrons. So depending on how big the lights are you need to have different places to install them.

That's why we make them adjustable. It's actually pretty easy to do once you do this enough.

We tell people to leave them loose and place them how you want them. This way you can slide them around. When they LOOK GOOD then take a wrench and tighten them down.

We always tell people to tighten the light to the SMALLER BRACKET (comes with the lights) tight. That doesn't need to move (yet) and it won't flop around. Then slide the lights how you want them. Change the channel, tighten it down.

Then when you go to align them, you still have enough resistance where the light doesn't flop around BUT you can still turn it left/right/up/down. You can't SLIDE it but you can still aim it.

We do these installs in just under 2 hours (1 hour if 2 guys are working on it) but it can be confusing for someone whos never done this.

Many thanks. Bought my lights and kit from you guys. I did pull the squadrons back in line with themselves and kept the s2 up front. Now nothing touches. Got everything lined up and figured out I had the S2’s actually reversed (left and right) from the picture. Wanted the spot part of the driving combo outboard. So fixed that and got everything aligned. Took me 2x what you guys take. Which is to be expected.
