Pretty standard red neck, rough neck, and home construction boss vehicle up here. Love the retro roof lighting.

Rough cost to make a good one based on new truck is $50K+ and more w sound systems.

Everyone clears the road haha small people love them.

If they had a 2 door I'd be all in

I don't need it for anything though, but it would be crazy cool

"AEV hasn't yet said how much it will cost to give one of Ford's Super Duties the FXL treatment, but we think the procedure will likely start at around $10,000...."

I think Car and Driver is being far too optimistic with it being AEV. It will "start" at double that at a minimum.

As far as pricing, just go look at the RAM components. I wouldn't expect the SD parts to be much different.

I do like these packages and AEV has always made high quality stuff (I had some of their Jeep parts in a past lifetime). It's just outside of what I need these days though.

Does "retro roof lights" = the federal regulatory "imma fattie" lights for any vehicle over 80" wide? The three amber lights in the nose and 5 across the roof of the cab?

Probably calling them retro because for a while now everyone has been sticking them in the grille. Going back to the top of the cab is how it used to be done.

Haha ... yeah, back to the rust line - sign of a real work truck back in the day.

Never understood that trend - to add the 'fatboy' lights to the hood if it wasn't required. I always equated the 3 amber lights with a slow vehicle... like a truck hauling farm animal carcasses down to the rendering plant.

There is no accounting for taste - mine or theirs.

The only thing I dislike more then these 3 little lights are fake hood scoops...which many have.
