Yeah it would be nice to test that out. I'm afraid all of these will be autos thoughIn all seriousness, some of the most important aspects of driving a manual is clutch and shift feel. This is a brand new transmission. I don't even have an option to test it in another vehicle. It would be nice to at least drive it before I sign on the dotted line.
Transfers don't close until March right?I'm concerned about this too. It's a main reason I haven't hounded any local dealers to see AMB on an F150 yet. "Oh you want me to spend my time to show you a vehicle you aren't going to buy?"
Will they be sanitized between test drives? Only x% of people allowed into the dealerships?Think of the traffic this will bring into the dealerships next Spring. No doubt many MY22 reservations/orders will be made just from these units alone.
Awe Hell, I was going to buy one anyway. They knew it."Lets make them order one before they can even see what it looks like in person" - Ford
As bad as I want mine, I want a quality unit. Maybe any final production line bugs will get worked out with these. Just a thought.Although interesting, I don't take this as good news. it just pushes our builds back by X thousands of units produced before ours. Units we will not see before order. I suppose it might help Ford work out kinks in production though.
Just think how many dealers there are in the US and many of them will get two. And they will get them before the reservations are filled, but surely not before we are required to order. I see more reservation delaysThanks for sharing. Not clear to me how this benefits reservation holders before the order window closes.
seems like this is simply way to drive walk in retail traffic for 2022 orders.
they should have had these delivered well in advance of the ordering window.
Listen....its entirely possible - in character even - for all the mannequin units sent to dealers to have the white/saddle interior. What could possibly go wrong?
My thoughts exactly... I don’t sure a true incentive for dealers to do this. For dealers to pull a salesman off the floor to tend to these already ordered customers -OR- customers who don’t have an order and can’t get into a Bronco for 18 months doesn’t sound to me like a great plan (from a management perspective)." I see you have a Bronco on the floor and one on the lot , I'd like to test drive one please . "
" Sure let's pull up your reservation and we'll see what we can do . "
" I see you have a reservation at Grainger Ford so I called and set you up an appointment there at 3:00 . Good day sir . "
