I drop off fresh donuts monthly to the sales department. It's paying off slowly. Got a bronco summer ball cap last week. At least they know who I am and what I'm buying. Kill them with kindness and reap the rewards!

Hold the unlock button for windows down and sunroof open, up and sunroof closed is a little tricky as you have to insert the key from the fob into the door and turn and hold to lock the door. Needless to say I don't use the up/close function very often but it is there and handy when we don't want to get in the car and hit the start button twice to access the power.
That is very exciting and a potential marketing gimmick! Thanks for the thourough explanation. I can tell my son that I learned something new today 😌

Lighten up. This is YOUR hobby, not theirs. As Amanda points out, sales folks and dealers aren't making squat yet. I've been OVER cautious about contact and questions, knowing that if I become a PITA, it'll bit me. Yes we know more. We've devoted a year to this for some...They're trying to sell what's out their window. Be kind.
sorry but no. I'm spending $60k on a vehicle, and I expect them to know the basics. I'm not asking for the difference in GOAT modes. His misinformation would have likely cost me MONTHS in timing to receive my Bronco had I not known better and cancelled my reservation.

If I were a Ford Salesman, I would hate Bronco customers to no end.

I really don't get the constant bugging of dealerships that I read about on the forum. Like someone already pointed out; there has been no money made off of the Bronco by a dealership yet. However, the news, probing, nerd inquiries and questions "can I just come and touch it?" BS, and the time lost doing the reservation has to be infuriating to them.

Going to your dealership, your relationship with your dealership, offering over MSRP, none of this is going to help you get your truck any faster, it's just showing OCD by many of the guys here. Please find something more constructive to do with your day instead of obsessing over this thing; it isn't healthy or cute at all.

Leave the dealerships alone, stop stalking your salesperson; they don't care about you. When you get your build date, then you can complete your transaction and just hope they don't hold all of the OCD crap against you when it's time for you to sit down with the finance guy.
But what if my dealer is an Ohio State fan? ;)

My dealer literally told me they are going to prioritize people who are in contact with them when the next set of orders become available over the ones that submitted the reservation and haven't checked back in. I have a reminder on my calendar to email my dealer once a month to check in. I know no orders have opened, but I want my name to be on the top of their list when they do or if fortune would have it, someone matching my build doesn't purchase their order on arrival.

It's important to know your dealer. Don't be annoying and don't be demanding, because as others have said, they haven't made a dime off these vehicles.

As my dealership’s Bronco Specialist I get more information on this forum (as far as delays and delivery timing) than I do form Ford. My Ford rep is newer as well and doesn’t always have answer for me right away. I’ve tried to stay as on top of everything as I can but fielding questions from my 31 remaining orders in addition to my regular job duties and all around shortages right now isn’t exactly an easy task. I 100% agree that the sales reps should care enough to be educated and I know most aren’t, but it isn’t always easy having all the answers on a car I’ve never put my hands on or knowing when deliveries are happening for a brand new car launch when I don’t even know when the F-150 I ordered in January will arrive. Try to understand that your sales person, while they should be doing their best to take care of you, certainly has not been paid yet since no car has been delivered and has to figure out how to keep selling cars when no one has inventory. Not trying to make excuses, dealers don’t always handle things best and sales staff isn’t always well informed or educated, but there’s a lot that’s gone on with this. I was supposed to have three orders pulled this cycle and we only had 1, and my Ford rep can’t give me an answer why so sometimes I just as much in the dark as all of you

Is there any point in which Ford dealers are going to get educated on the Bronco? I've dealt with two different dealers during this process and thanks to this forum (as mostly a lurker), and I knew more than both of them. I've decided to convert my day 1 reservation to a 2022MY for various reasons and went to my dealer to do so today. They tried to tell me that I need to cancel my 2021 reservation and rebook a new 2022 reservation. Had I not been lurking this forum, I would have done just that, since the dealer is supposed to know what they're talking about. Luckily after "checking with their manager" for the third time, he agreed that I could convert my existing reservation to an order, but they wouldn't build it until 2022's are ready. When mentioned a code 99, he looked like a deer in headlights!

I feel like Ford has fumbled this thing from start to finish. If I haven't been wanting a Bronco since I was 4 years old, I would have been long gone by now.
I was going to start a similar thread today until I came upon yours. I converted my order on Saturday 5/8. When I get the email from Ford, its 8 bullet points contain mostly correct information. Then I get the order sheet today from the dealer and its incorrect. So I call him and go off the deep end, just what he needed on a Monday morning me jumping down his throat with a chainsaw. So he let me speak my mind and then spent 20 minutes explaining the entire process to me. We both agreed Ford is jerking everyone around and putting the dealers in the middle and the dealers are taking the brunt of this. I am all about workflow and using IS to streamline processes, but wow has this been a clusterf*** by Ford. Anyway, He explained that the rep. at Ford has told him how to put in these MY22 orders as MY21 and then they get converted to MY22 when that opens up. All in all I feel bad for these dealers and the consumers.

Who have you paid? As far as I know, zero Broncos have been sold, so NOBODY has been paid shit yet, so getting uppity is just false bravado.
I personally will be paying a dealer who has their shit together, and yes, I hope the bad dealers do not get paid and the ones who provide good service do get paid. And I can also assure you that there is nothing false about my bravado.

I hear you, and I vented here, not to the salesman at the dealer. By some of these comments, you'd think I stormed into the dealership pounding fists with forum print outs in my hand lol. We were on cordial terms, but you can tell that he knew nothing about it. Whatever, it didn't ultimately affect me because I corrected them, but it certainly could have, and will likely affect others.

The sales rep and I both agreed, this site has more information then most of his co-workers. I also didn't realize how transient the car sales business was. One of the salesman I was talking too was painting cars a month ago, but came to the sales side to make more money.

Screw that, we are the customer and deserve better for our money. They are providing a service and they get paid to provide that service, so provide it. Know your product!
Hey man, Come mow my lawn I'll pay you next year but call you twice a week with complaints about how you cut it. Don't care if you are cutting other lawns I DESERVE better!

By this point some of the members on here could become sales men or women.

Sure, but that is not what you said.

The commission structure does not incentivize your potential future order over existing customers looking to purchase in the very short term. All of the sales people and managers have to survive months and months just to maybe reap the benefits of your purchase. And, if you chose not to buy your vehicle, somebody else surely will snatch it up and maybe for more $$.

It's cute pretending that you hold the cards, but the reality is that you have to dance to get the vehicle. That is the game.

Yep...sums it up.
