Competition is good and benefits the consumer. Wrangler got to exist way too long without anyone challenging them to offer more. Bronco comes out and suddenly Wrangler sees V8, Hybrid, Diesel, new performance packages. And as Wrangler responds by one-upping Bronco, Bronco will have to respond model after model in an arms race. Can't rest on your laurels now.
I'd be surprised if Jeep didn't do this. As a former owner of 4 Wranglers, what I always thought was most lacking was power. They just struggle a bit too much for my liking on the highway. This is a big reason I'm excited about the Bronco. I'm confident that the 2.3L will at least equal the Wrangler's power, maybe surpass it. The 2.7L which I'm getting should blow the Wrangler away.
That's been an option already.upgraded tire carrier hinge to help support the weight of the larger spare tire
Great side point - Jeep Probably still can’t bring it self to open up the base trim like Ford has. Basequatch is a game changer. If this package is only for the Rubicon, Ford still has them beat by a lot.
Yep, did that 2 years ago thinking my Bronco would be at least 3 years away. Looks like my timing may just happen, but if it doesn't I still have the Jeep to play with. And, it is fun to play with. Thanks for the link to the wrangler forum - now looking at Jeep... checking dealer inventory - yup there's my model
