I see daylight through current MIC top

Just above the rearview Mirror assembly where the two port holes come together, there is daylight coming through. I found this after going through a car wash. Looks like the MIC recall is just not cosmetic as we are told.

Maybe an arrow or something to designate? I don’t see anything in the pic. Did water come in at the car wash? If you can see daylight then most likely you’d already have water intrusion.

The line that got me was "When exposed to extreme water and humidity." Press release b.s. to downplay the reality of the situation. But Ford knows most of the press won't call them on it as they haven't read the first hand customer experiences posted on the forum.

Yes, I am getting a new MIC. But I wanted to share new discoveries with an issue that others should not be looking for in a new vehicle.
