I will also snap a pic of the top of the sport/roll bar when the wife gets back to see if it is possible to mount a grab handle up there and let it dangle on the inside.

I have seen a variety of paracord/nylon webbing based handles that hook to the support rods for the headrest. Normally these are for back seat passengers to pull on, but maybe they would work to help from the front also?

Pic of top of the bar. Anything mounted here and slung over the side would have to be drilled and tapped. There were pre-tapped (welded nuts) further towards the second row but they wouldn't work for the first row. The clearance above the bar and between the soft top is over an inch but not sure about the MIC.

What about using the two screws that are already there on the inside of the roll bar?

I am going to see if the kayak handle works with those two screws.

I personally wouldn't screw around with that ( pun intended ). You may not be blocking the airbag but you're certainly going to change how it deploys.

Chiming in on this.

Im not messing with airbags. I was gonna order poison spi grab handles but nowhere to put em.

Wife and I want 2 more grab handles even though we are pretty satisfied with current grabs.

Im doing R&D on black diamond plate to fit in between driver and passenger windows. Then slide in a grab handle that's removable. I think this will help both entering and exiting the vehicle if smaller but my wife has no prob getn in with current grabs and 4WP side steps. Will keep posted..
