I discovered the fraying very early on in that same spot. I’ve continued to try to “train” it to bend/fold where it won’t rub but it always goes to the way it rubs unless I position it the right way as I open 100% of the time. I don’t believe it will ever train.

Yep, pretty much everyone with lux has that issue, at the very least around the sub. Several threads where folks have polyfilled around the speakers and even pulled panels and laid down dynamat. I haven’t bothered to fix it yet but drives me crazy as well.

Installed these today. Agree, the instructions sucked. They look way better in person and now every time I see gravel I won’t tense up thinking it is about to tear up my doors.
