Procal and dealer re-flash questions

I have a 23 Badlands with the 2.3 and Ford ProCal. If these have to go in for a re-flash for a warranty or TSB etc what would happen to the tune thats on it?

It would get erased and have to be reloaded.
This would obviously only happen if they update the PCM software though.

I had a tune on my last few trucks. If I had to bring them to the dealer for warranty work, where they would possible have to hook up to do any firmware work, I would set it back to stock first just to be sure.

If it gets "erased" does it automatically go back to "original" stock? Say you did Forscan changes, do these remain? I always revert back to stock when my Bronco goes to the dealer for service.

Erased as in the procal tune is removed and it just returns to stock.
Forscan changes won’t be affected.
