I highly doubt it is made from 1/2" steel. It would be way too heavy and completely overkill. It looks more like 1/4" plate.
Oh man missed that. You are correct. Per FabTech's site;
"The heavy duty construction consists of 1/4" thick steel that is formed and welded with gussets for strength using grade 8 fasteners."

Sweeet man! That looks GREAT! Looks like you also have the RJ Control arms and Trac Bar. Noice!!!!

Man........that diff cover is sooooo sexy. I want one so bad but don't think my DV8 diff skid plate will fit it. UGH :(
Check this out...

I had to cut out sections of the skid plate in the areas indicated in the picture.

As far as the fit, the skid plate fits very tight against cover plus there are 2 bolts that does through the skid to the diff. The cover is also thicker than the factory one.

Ahhhhh. You rock man! Thanks @orion for this brother. SUPER helpful! I REALLY like my DV8 skid. In my opinion its the best designed Rear-Diff skid in the market for the Bronco. It's already proved itself by saving me in 2 occasions.....having to drill cutouts likely won't do it for me. Glad I saw this for reference before purchasing the Diff Cover

Just my 2 cents, that you didn’t ask for, but I wouldn’t let a minor amount of fab work keep you from getting what you want/need.

This is a stock photo from the DV8 website. It requires very minimal modification.

Good luck whichever way you go.

Ok so I’m torn about the RJ relocation. I added Foutz collars 2/1.5 to keep a bit of rake. By my measurements I only got about .5” of lift in the rear with my daily gear. RJ’s site states that the bracket should be used for SAS +1” so I’m wondering if I’m pushing the limit.

This is not my first Bronco but is the smallest lift I have used.

The right side(axel/bracket side) now sits slightly higher(3/8”) than the body side. I was lower by much more than that before the bracket but just haven’t seen folks sitting higher. I don’t think it’s an issue but should I be concerned? I’m thinking about adding the 2” collar out back but not until I move from my 35” Nittos to go up to 37’s.

What do you think @SROC3

If that is pictures of your bronco that is really good. The whole idea is to get the bar level and that’s pretty close. If you removed the bracket, it would be angled and that’s what we’re trying to get away from.

I'm no suspension guru - I'm very much learning here.

I was told on the rear tracbar -- stand behind the Bronco and look at it from the rear.

If your rear tires are centered on the body, your tracbar setup is good. If the rear tires are a bit to the left or right, you need to adjust it.

Any truth to this or did I just hear some rumors?

Never heard anything about how horizontal the bar should be. I haven't checked mine to see where it sits. I had a relo bracket from the 2.5 RC lift kit that I left in place but haven't done anything else with it.

An adjustable track bar is used to center the tires/diff under the vehicle. The relocation bracket is to get the geometry better (usually after a lift) so there’s less side to side movement as the suspension cycles or articulates. The more close it is to horizontal the less side to side movement you’ll have because it will be in the center of its arc vs already traveling down the arc pulling the diff sideways.

I think someone did post a similar "situation" as well where the Relo Bracket brought the track bar "higher up and past" level (or let's say 0 degrees, at horizontal). The forces involved are not changed. Remember that the end goal of the Relo Bracket is to get it AT OR AS CLOSE TO level as possible, regardless of it being "higher" or "lower" than completely horizontal. The position you do have it at in the photo is better than what it was at stock height, where it was at a lot more aggressive angle. (also see post #59 on this thread if you have not come across it yet - I get into the mechanics of it in more detail. https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/rear-tracbar-relocation-bracket-get-one.104993/post-2398111)

So, to answer your concern - that is perfectly fine. And as you add, say "Lift Spacers," that should level out more. As I have mentioned earlier, it is still advisable to get an adjustable track bar, so you can have a proper alignment shop dial it in perfectly and adjust the length of the bar . Hope that helps bro!

Oh and what exhaust do you have on? Looks very nice!!!! Do you get cabin-drone?

Overall this is correct "If your rear tires are centered on the body, your tracbar setup is good. If the rear tires are a bit to the left or right, you need to adjust it." - BUT, if you can actually notice and SEE that your rear tires (and axle) are "a bit" to the left or right, that's a massive deviation. Massive. The changes in geometry are more subtle and measured in lesser inches & mm, closer to the latter. This is why a proper alignment is highly recommended

I previously posted an explanation on the mechanics of it all (post #59) - https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/rear-tracbar-relocation-bracket-get-one.104993/post-2398111

Hope that helps

What a great video :) Thanks man!!!! This also further emphasizes why the addition of the Adjustable Track Bar is important - to get the right SAGITTA

I just installed the Rock Jock relocation bracket with my OEM rear trackbar and it is as straight an arrow. I even verified it with a level just for giggles and truly impressed. Thank you for creating a thread on the matter!!

Changing tire size has exactly 0 impact on track bar angle/ride height. Or maybe I misunderstood what you were trying to say
