Their pricing is not list but matrix, meaning bumped up retail, and should have used M2DZ78502G33CB instead of the SA part number........
CB has been replaced. See previous posts

I'm just going to throw a few things out there from experience with after warranty assistance. Ford uses a long term value score (number of new vehicles you've bought, did you purchase a Ford ESP, do you do the majority of your service work at a dealer). The higher the score, generally, the more they assist. When a dealer opens an assistance case they are supposed to make the parts and labor estimate at warranty rates. No idea what that dealer's labor rate is or state specific warranty parts markup but I'm coming up with about 3.3 hours per SLTS. I don't know if they do their own glass work but if not, that should be a separate sublet charge (quote) from whomever they use. I doubt cutting them out and reinstalling would be over $300.00.

All of that said, the dealer can send whatever they want to Ford in both parts and labor, Ford will come back with their participation amount and that's that. As long as the final repair comes back under the approved amount, the claim usually flys without issue and Ford pays their part, customer is responsible for whatever is left.

I agree that the most financially logical repair is use the Ford Performance kit but Ford does not work like this. I've not had a specific situation like this to know if trying to get a service rep involved or trying to escalate the request up the decision making chain at Ford would even work. There's a chance a real person isn't even reviewing the claim and it's all AI driven. I know they are using AI but have never been told which groups are using it or at what interaction levels.

The estimate does look high but again, I don't have all of the information needed to say they did it correctly or it's jacked up. As others have mentioned, the amount of assistance Ford is offering compared to the total claim, sucks. Going to a different dealer is not going to change what Ford is going to assist with since it's already in the system. If this were me, I'd be getting the FP top kit (assuming it's compatible with raptor), going aftermarket, living with it or doing the Line-X.

The deal is Ford will cover all but about $5k (magically, around what it'd cost to buy it put together and not buy parts and assemble). To me this sounds like they're playing some funny business (some kind of parts sales bonus? Something...) and I'd stay away from that dealership just for that. A few things don't seem to add up...
Agreed on the funny business, this sounds like they're boosting their revenue/shop hours/number of parts sold by selling the top as pieces rather than the whole top.

The link the op posted list the ford racing m-10500-ht which is no longer available hence why dealers can't get it.

Not sure the hype around the painted top. Service manger has one on his 25 and its all schratched up already from light brush washing. Barely has 2k on it. Last thing I want is a painted top while I'm off roading. Also when taking it off and storing, don't have to be as careful knowing it doesn't scratch as easy. Wouldn't option it even if I had to build a new one today.

I have not had good experiences with Sunrise Ford. It’s kinda far but I would go to South Bay Ford and ask them.

this cant be right, but my dealer is hell bent on this price. I showed them the link from ford that it cost $5495 here and theyre saying that hardtop is an accessory, ford wont assist with that. now if i go their route for the 20k one, ford will step in and help with 15k, leaving me with 5k which is obvious to me is a round about way saying im fully out of pocket. any dealers or past experience owners know what i can say to my dealer to bring some sense to them or is ford really wanting 20k for a top that doesnt last 4 years...

I have a 24 WildTrak with the MIC top. I have minor cracking on the rear cab section below both quarter windows that I have to scrutinize to see, but it’s there. I have 17 months left on my warranty and I’m going to keep an eye on it. Not sure if I wanna roll the dice and end up with a top that fares worse than the one I have, after listening to all the horror stories from those that have replaced their tops two, three and maybe more times…

if youre not going to try and get it fixed while you have warranty, have 5k+ lined up for an aftermarket solution.

I’m just worried because some of the guys that have had them replaced have ended up with a top that cracks even worse than their original. If my cracks have not gotten progressively worse at all by next spring, I’m gonna leave well enough alone.

i understand, but if that happens then that one too should be warrantied. these are all made of the same construction and proceedure, its my belief that all oem tops will crack eventually. my raptor is from the golden tickets, so its one of the first raptors/oldest tops and ive already seen people with 24s-25s cracking. if i were you get it replaced as soon as possible and then check that one before your 3/36 warranty ends. spending 5k to replace something that shouldnt be going out like this really sucks. i ordered my turn offroad, ill try and flip my existing top, or try and get it warrantied and then sell the a virgin top.

I had my center section replaced under warranty for warping as well. It was (thankfully) under the original factory warranty at the time. They probably wouldn't do jack now that I am outside the 3/36,000 period.

This is the way.
I can't cheerlead the Turn top enough.
I ended up selling mine and went Armadillo.
But NOT for any negative aspect of the Turn.
I found a good deal, it's what I wanted for my use-case, so went with it.
The Turn top is a very solid product.
She's heavy, so be prepared to have help to put it on.
It is not one that you can sit in the cargo area and lift/balance until you get to a standing position to carry it somewhere else.
I'm sure someone who wants to remove the whole thing from time to time can do some creative mods to Toplift type device and make it work. I just never did because I run a rack and utilize a 270 awning and shower awning on my adventures.
