Not at all. Maybe if I was topless but I have been on a few dusty roads with no damage to the Bluetti
I ordered a BLUETTI AC180 with 100w panel and setpower RV60D last night , looking forward to putting them to the test

Check out set power fridge. For around the same price you can get a dual zone. I have the 58qt and have no complaints. 3 year warranty.

HELLO OFF ROADERS, I'm looking at adding a portable 12v fridge from rough country to my rig, in addition to a portable power bank from rough country... I will link the products. My question is, theoretically how long could the battery continuously supply power to the fridge under normal conditions? Before you say it, yes I know the Bronco has a 12v/110 power outlet, but let's assume I wanted to power the fridge using only the power bank. Thanks in advance!

The portable fridge specifications are as follows
Voltage: DC12V/24V or AC100~240V
Power Consumption: Low energy use at 0.2kw.h/24h.

while the power bank is rated at
  • Power: 500W AC Output.
  • Capacity: 520Wh / 140400mAh /3.7V.
  • AC Output: 110/230V 50Hz/60Hz.
  • AC Power: AC continuous power output 500W. (Max power output 1000W)

Please help! I reached out to rough country and they were absolutely useless in answering my question.
Alternatively, if you have recommended products that perform better/cost less, please drop the link!

My advice is first buy the frig you want. Then buy a watt meter from Amazon for $15 or a bit less. Plug the meter into a receptacle, then your frig into the meter, set the temps you want and watch the meter do it’s thing. I have the Setpower 45 someone mentioned earlier. Over four days it average 20.1 watts/hr with small compartment set at 16 degrees and large one set at 32. When it first starts up and cools down it uses more, perhaps 35 watts. But again averaged 20.1 watts per hour over four days.

Then, once you know what your appliance uses, you can begin to size a power source. I ended up buying a Bluetti AC50B for about $300 on sale. I wanted something so the frig could stay cold in the car overnight while we went into the hotel. This Bluetti is rated at 700/448 watts. The 700 is peak available rate and the 448 is total watts available. So over twelve hours it would use 12 x 20.1 = 241.2 watts, slightly more than 50%. Perfect for my needs. Now I can go to Costco and make multiple stops throughout the day and everything is still cold.

It has pass through charging so it can recharge the battery while running the frig when driving. I just use 12v accessory plug in the back.

As someone said above, I too love my SetPower frig/freezer. Way less money than a comparable sized Yeti. I could go on, but I’ll spare you. Hope this helps.

Thanks. I went out and turned it on just for the pic. Temps in both frig compartments were 80 w/ same temp in the garage. You can see it’s drawing 32 watts. One last thing, keep in mind power station weight and size.

I think it’s particularly helpful that you can charge the battery while also drawing power

This simulator I made a while back may be helpful: https://cr117.github.io/calculators/aux-battery-simulator/

Using the Bluetti AC50B with a 20W fridge (on average) will get you almost 24 hours, but adding a 10A DC-DC charger and driving 4 hours should be enough to keep it topped off.
