Had an order in but went with different dealer - ‘26 Stroppe

Just picked up a 2026 Stroppe!

I put my order in for one in Dec thinking I’d get an early production date. Dealer assured me they had allocations. They did not. Production date is set for 4/6 and other dealerships are getting their Stroppes delivered now. I found a local dealership that had one just get delivered. They hadn’t even washed it before we showed up to test drive. It was as good as if we’d ordered it. After a few days of negotiating prices (all via text) we picked it up yesterday. The OG dealer told us he didn’t have time to run numbers for us because it was Truck Month so we were even less inclined to wait on him.

I know Stroppes are controversial here, especially a 4 door, but I’m so excited. It’s my first brand new car and everything I want. We’re really big into outdoors and my husband and I love mountain biking. We were hoping our kids would too but our youngest has some special needs that don’t lend well to mountain biking. So we’re hoping that off-roading will give him a similar experience. Both kids love the Bronco. My 4 yo told me today that the other cars aren’t cool because they’re not in the Bronco club.

I dont think there's controversy, its just a love it or hate it color scheme. As long as you love it and, more importantly, your kids think it's cool, that's all that matters!

And good on you for abandoning a dealer that clearly didn't appreciate your business. Glad you were able to find a local one to buy.

Absolutely! That's pretty much what I tell everyone I talk to about my Bronco. Yes, it's shaped like a concrete block and gets comparable mpg, but my smiles per gallon has exceeded everything I have ever had before it.

Congrats on your new rig. I was in the similar boat but did it opposite. A few years ago, I ordered an Everglades at my local dealer. It was almost going on a year and almost summer, so I was getting itchy. I kept calling the local dealer about updates and basically got not efforts in their responses. So, I did my own digging and find my exact Everglades at a dealership in Oklahoma. Told the sales guy in Oklahoma to put a sold sign in the Bronco, then drove down to my local dealership and asked for my money. After a lot of unnecessary sales tactics on their part, I finally asked to get the General Manager to issue me a check. With my money back in my pocket, I booked a flight to Oklahoma and the sales guy from the dealership picked me up from the airport and drove me to the dealership that was 2 hours away. They filled up my Everglades with a full tank of gas, and I was on my way back to Colorado. One of the easiest experiences at a dealership for me and my sales guy was top notch. BTW, I like the Stroppe.

Enjoy! I picked up a 2 door for $13k off of sticker brand new and every time I go anywhere I get people asking me so be prepared for that. Everyone who has seen it LOVES IT, haven't had one negative yet out of say 10 or so who has stopped me to talk about it. Mine has 700 miles and as I always do I test to see what I could sell for if need be. Value is holding great on them as well, at least the 2 door. Great vehicle and with the HOSS 3.0 the ride is much nicer than the badlands or base. Also, less wind noise and no creaks or rattles as my 1st Bronco had. You will love it.
