Hitch wiring installer other than dealer?

Have used indy hitch shops in past and was fine....

Will the independant shops know how to program after the wiring and hitch install?

This is the way. I just did it. Not all dealers were listed as an installer but for 500 plus 191 for included install I was on my way. The dealer has to honor that price. For 191 it kept me off the garage floor, was warranty work, and all the programming was done.

Was there some special programming the dealer had to complete after the install?

Have to ask if that's their specialty and they are high volume hitch shop they should know ....

I asked the trailer/hitch indendant shop if they know how to do the programming once the trailer wiring is comepleted. And they said based on the instructions (Non LED / Big Bend) there is no programming that needs to be completed.

What are they installing specifically part wise?
What are your expectations of what's being installed.

There's no programming for that, that is a four-pin connector only.
That does not interface with the Bronco computer, tow module etc.

Unclear what your expectations are but they would be correct in what they're offering.

If you have the factory tow harness installed from the factory (do you?), then this is not the way to go.

Are you sure you need the wiring? Dealership tried to tell me the same thing on my 24 OBX until I walked them outside and showed them the wiring was already there from the factory.

Just bought a Bronco 3 weeks ago. $750 dealer installed option.

I did it myself. No programming but the vehicle won't know if a trailer is attached.
