I've read a lot of back and forth on this on the intertubes, but when I asked my dealer, here's what they said: Ford will honor the factory warranty even if the tune is linked to the failure, but the ESP is voided if the tune is linked to the failure (just like any random aftermarket part).

So, it's still not just a blanket invalidation, but the ESP won't cover damage caused by the tune. And, the dealer/Ford have a lot of leeway in that so there's a good chance you'll be screwed even if the tune, in reality, had nothing to do with the failure. Hopefully that makes sense.

makes perfect sense, thank you. I just wish the warranty department would treat my mods as innocent until undoubtedly proved guilty. Engine blows up - well it’s clearly because you have non-OEM rear wiper blade

Anything Ford warranty is a gamble theyre bleeding money booking massive losses and write downs so its a matter of survival to delay and deny as much warranty as possible.

Normalizing defects it a new tactic they employ to instantly slash masssive known aand approved warraty liabilities with one keystroke. They change the rules all the time.

I did not hesitate to get the FP tune and had bo issues with my Mustang convertibe HPP tune engine at all....its a great tune and you know it works long term unlike aftermarket that has zero warranty.

Anyone else have feedback? I am tempted. The dealer says install takes two hours. They want $199.97 an hour and say it usually takes two hours.

They're jerking you off for 2hrs, I did the setup for the account and the file upload and tune within an hour on my home pc

I've had it for a month or so, and I'd say it's worth it. The added torque is early on, noticeable and where it should be. I'd swear the engine sounds a little deeper, even from outside, and you will definitely hear the turbo hiss more often and a bit louder. So there's some fun and performance to it.

I don't have experience with a tuned 6 to compare, but if you go with Ford's official numbers (333hp and 415 lb-ft), the tuned 2025 4 cylinder ends up fairly close to the tuned 6 (355hp and 433 lb-ft).

My dealer charged for one hour, $195. It was definitely quick. I did the online registration part at home before I dropped off the vehicle, and the tech knew the rest of the process for downloading and installing the software (it's simple, could easily DIY, but wanted to make sure warranty was preserved).

While tuned, you will have to use at least 91 octane, and you won't get the full gains unless you use 93. Gas prices being what they are, it's not the best time for a tune. But my Bronco is more of a weekend warrior, so I can get away with it.

Not saying the other posters here are wrong, but I would call Ford about tune compatibility with Extended Service Plans. It is definitely OK to add to leased Broncos (mine is leased, and the dealer who installed the tune is the same that leased it to me), and the tune is VIN-locked, so I have a hard time understanding why it would screw up an ESP. Also, it can be reverted to stock.

+1 Worth it. '23 BL MT. I pulled the trigger a week ago when they had the "spring20" discount to save 20% on materials ($170). Definitely tell a difference, normal w/ FPT feels closer to sport mode and sport mode feels insane.

You're getting ripped off on install, you can include it in the online purchase. I paid 112$ for install in Denver.
