Mud flaps in FRONT of back tires

Hi Guys (new Bronco owner)
I bought the IAG mud flaps for my front and rear tires and they are great! I contacted IAG to see if they had any for in front of the rear tires because the tires kick up a lot of crap onto the standard runnng boards etc. - IAG does not have any.

Anybody know who might have an off the shelf option vs. modifying standard mud flaps?

Never seen that. I'd probably try to fabricate something myself that was smaller than a full flap.

Different tires? Your problem doesn't sound common, unless you are spending a lot of time in Reverse.

You're kidding right? The tires sling gravel/mud/rocks in either direction. There's a substantial gap between the fender flare and the running board. OEM SAS Tires 315/70R17.

No, but a kit to move the steering wheel tot he back seat so I can stop getting a sunburn on my left arm sure would be nice.

I think I see the problem. The Goodyears sling gravel badly, at least for the first few thousand miles.

Most other tires don't sling it nearly as bad as the Territories do. When I had a set, yeah, I would have gravel all over my running boards every day. If you went through small pea gravel it would rain granite...

A set of Mickey Baja Legends - occasionally a larger rock, but they would sling mud up and out - it would get up on the roof. A lot. But the rocks weren't too bad.

My current set of Nittos Ridge Grapplers - Tame. Barely even slings mud (not necessarily a good thing for offroading). Haven't had a rock thrown with them yet really.

So no, not kidding.

I can't say I've heard of anyone asking for front-of-tire mud flaps. Most of the mud I've seen goes front-to-back, but there's possibly times it gets thrown forward. Might share some photos of what you're seeing.

Prolly be very afraid of a rock my Razr M/T's might throw, which I feel like I've heard some people say big voids do occasionally. Especially if you've parked and walked 50 ft away. Watch out!!

This was early in the tire tread life. Some throw in front of rear.

This was way later in tire life. Not as bad, definitely worse early on, especially throwing gravel.

Dear OP. The "problem" you're experiencing isn't really a problem at all. The oem tires do sling some rocks, but a few dinging off the edge of your running boards is not going to make a difference. I drive on gravel and stone a few times each week, have some cheap sliders, intentionally removed my squatch flares and replaced them with narrow flares and I don't have a single scratch on my vehicle from a rock getting thrown. There is no damage to my sliders from a few piecws of gravel either.

As far as I know, no commercial product exists to solve this crisis and as we all know, the aftermarket supply of tacky, useless junk people add to their Broncos is endless.

I don't think it's unreasonable for someone to not want mud and dirt kicked up onto their boards/steps so they don't step in it and track into or off the vehicle. I know I get sick of cleaning up my garage so I don't track crap into my house.

I went with the sorta overpriced gatorback ones with the bucking bronco on them. I actually like the look of them - though I know lots of people don't really like the looks of flaps.
