On top of the wheel liner. I have a 2 door non sas Bronco (added lift and tires later) and only installed the front flaps. Not sure about rear flaps, or differences if you are installing on a sasquatch. There are 2 pre drilled holes you use and 2 fender flare clips.

Perfect pics!! Thanks! I still have my crash bar mounted, so I hope I can squeeze it in between the crash bar and wheel well. I just looked at my front mud flap instructions again and the tools required include a 1/4" drill bit, and in step 10 of 11, it shows drilling two holes through two existing holes in the mud flap portion near where the retaining clips mount to the flare. So it looks like you drill through the existing holes in the mud flaps into the wheel flare to make a more permeant mount, right? So if no drilling works, I'm going that route because I want to have the option of taking off my flares to wash where they sit against the body panel! These instructions are lousy, no written instructions just lousy hand-drawn pictures. Now looking at your pictures, I see the holes in your mud flap and they don't have the large push pins installed, I'm definitely going that route!! Thanks again for the pictures, so now I won't have to over-think things!!

I have the tube steps. I did not order them from Ford but they are the same as the OEM steps. Same dimensions and mounting brackets. Just $300 cheaper. I did not have to drill any new holes for the step install. They mounted on the existing holes.
Can you share where you purchased your tube steps? I am all for saving $300 :)

I just installed the ford mud flaps last week on my 22’ 2 door, my running boards are just like everyone else’s.Running boards are too long and had to cut out around the running board and then make it work with the sas flares.
Where did you buy the running boards from? Doesn’t make sense that your boards are shorter than boards factory installed. Who ever makes them for Ford may have adjusted them for a sale as accessories and the factory is still installing the old style until they run out.

$50 from Ford. Their warehouse is in the next town over from me. Ordered them Sunday, got them today. Took about 20 minutes to install. Fits perfectly with my side steps. No cutting of any kind required. I don't think they look bad at all. And with the winter storm about to hit DFW this week, I want all the protection I can get.

Nice! Unique. Only better looking mudflaps would be those on my truck. (snif.)

They are snailfly tube steps. Amazon. I have the 2 door. Not sure about the 4 door ones.

These state that they are for Standard fender flares. Has anyone found a source for ones that work with the SaS flares?

I bet this is the case! OP should measure from the front edge of the board to the center of the first bracket mount bolt. Then we can compare to our factory installed boards

edit: I see his post. These aren't from Ford they are from a vendor on Amazon.

There isn't one. You need to modify flaps to make them work.

I just installed these on my 2 door. As a follow up to all asking about the need to drill the two holes per fender flare with the front flaps, I did NOT drill the "required" two holes per side either.

After installing them, I felt like they were secure enough and would not need the two holes drilled for the push pins. If I discover later that they are loose, I will probably use two sided tape in the channel that goes over the fender flares (and would normally be drilled) which I think would work very well.

Please post a picture straight on from the side so I can see what that looks like. Do you have crash bars?
