Well dumb ass me for not checking here I got the wrong filter for my '25 2.3

I bought FL910-s and realized it didn't fit on the lift with oil drained. So off to Advance I go where they plug in the specs...and their computer spits out...wait for it FL910-s.

Thank goodness I had my phone and scrolled this: https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/thre...pre-2025-fl-2127-and-fl-500s-both-fit.117161/ and grabbed a Mobil ...114A.

So much for having my sh&t together...but the rent a lift place I am using now is legit...the $40 an hr it cost to rent is so worth it for my back!

I absolutely hated changing oil in my wife's bronco for that very reason. Never took front tire off, but the location was absolutely BS..

I use rent-a-lift garage it's so nice. Pop the hood remove cap, raise, pop off tire, raise drip filter etc at eye level...SO worth it.

Either way, it’s MUCH easier access than the 2021-2024.

Steering shaft is in the way a bit. But, with coilovers at 2”+ I don’t even have to lift/take the wheel off.

Panda Motorworks provide the taller FL-500S filter with their kit. I have yet to try one, but feel I won’t be able to get the socket in there with the steering shaft in the way.

I’ve been meaning to find a better than OEM alternative. Maybe I’ll try the Mobil.

Another reason I purchased the service plan with my Bronco (oil/filter changes, tire rotations & vehicle inspection). For the price, it was well worth it, and my 63-yr-old body's had enough vehicle servicing gymnastics. :D

Any of the PGI 10k mile filters (Carquest Premium, NAPA Gold, Microgard Select, STP EL) are your best bet. Same excellent build quality as the M1 filters but a more efficient media.

Um, remove the tire? I've got a lift, and the filter is easy to get at from below... a simple old metal filter band wrench easily goes on a '25 2.3. I have a harder time getting the brake clean spray can up in there to rinse the spooge slide out.

Pretty sure you can do the same topside too. Belly over fender and reach with right arm.

i have a 2024 2.3L. I use an evacutor to get as much oil out as you can (for yall that know it certainly is not all of it). I drain the rest out the drain plug with butchered up 2 liter bottle to keep the oil of my skid plates.

But as an FYI - a slim 12 oz beer can fits perfectly on the oil chute. holds it in place. then just turn the wheel full lock and you can access the filter pretty easily with the cap end wrench. Without the can my tranny skid will get all the filter drainage.
