2dr base, 2.3L, 7spd MT, purchased vehicle 24AUG22 (<10 miles on odometer), oil change 29OCT22
5,658 miles factory fill oil/oil filter (oil life monitor at 46%)
OEM oil filter, replaced with Motorcraft FL-910S
factory fill oil replaced with Havoline 5W-30 semi-syn
I used an oil filter cutter to reduce carnage on the filter can (easier/cleaner than an hacksaw). White paper towel used to wipe down the bottom of the oil filter can (junk is pre-filter). Brown filter paper is a representative section of the filter media.
All in all the filter is doing it's job. Typical trash observed in factory fill changes; I expect the filter from the next 5k oil change to look much cleaner.
I did not collect a sample to be sent off for analysis; I'm sure someone has already posted on Bob Is The Oil Guy (BITOG) with a factory fill analysis.
