BDS, because I figured they were plausibly developed alongside Fox’s shocks. They’ve been good so far.
RC at the moment they came with the bronco. But the dust boots are trash over replaced them twice, the dust caps on top I’ve lost 4 of them. And after 45k miles the joints are getting pretty loose.
I just happened upon a set of bds. Any noise issue with them? I just read the instructions to lube them every 3k miles or every oil change. Thinking of installing them
This weekend.

Be careful, just because they have Zerk fittings does not mean they do not squeak. All brands. It’s kind of weird with so many people out there being so different. I know a few people that think they hear a small squeak and go nuts trying to fix it and then there are other guy’s that have a loud squeak and they’re like…… whatever, it’s a 4 x 4. I myself just wanted a high-quality UCA and I wanted to do it one time with supposedly the best out there. I run a Camburg on my 2023 Ranger and I will be running a Camburg on our Bronco soon enough.

Metal on metal makes noise but controls displacements and adds strength. Introduce a more deformable material and both noise and damping improve but displacements suffer. A design trade off that should be carefully evaluated wrt the intended objectives.

No noise outside of a few groans when wheeling. I clean and lube them with Tri-flow super dry lube frequently. My only comment so far is one of the ball cap dust covers started to be loose and rattle but I just slapped a tiny strip of gorilla tape on it and it’s been solid all summer.

I went with the Old Man EMU (OME) from ARB. They have the extra caster I wanted, are stronger, and use OE style bushings and ball joints. no noises, no maintenance. they just work, got real tired over the years maintaining and constantly replacing uniballs and heims. Racecar parts = race car noises I dont want that on my daily.

How are your BDS uppers holding up? Went to lube mine this week and the liners are all pulling out. 10 months and uniballs are junk. I’ve only used the ore line they recommend. Because I won them in a raffle at silver lake bronco takeover im
Being told I have no warranty. $149 per side plus tax. I think they will go in the trash. Problem is what to replace them with. Camburg uses the identical fk uniball as do a lot of other companies. But $300 per year for what is essentially a ball joint it ridiculous.
We've had a lot of good feedback with our UCA's and the 3-year/36k mile warranty backs it up. We have heim joints on the frame pivot, but they don't see the movement a uniball does on the spindle pivot so they wont wear our nearly as bad. Worth adding to the list of options to consider:

UPDATE: BDS is sending new uniballs out free of charge. I emailed tech support after thinking about what the sales person had said since I didn’t have purchase paperwork. So they a re willing to stand behind their product. 👍

Im using Braptor OEM UCAs ...had to build new strut towers to have the OEM fit. Totally happy with my choice as they obviously have a booted ball joint instead of an open heim...nearly 17" of travel! Worth the extra effort.

They’ve been solid so far with some pretty aggressive drivethrough use...
You could maybe avoid climbing that boulder at the end of Starbucks drive thru, it's really just there for decoration. Then again, it is there and all. I'd probably give you a pass. lol 💯
