Laughed out loud revisiting the profile and seeing that on there
I did get to take a Tibus portal off of the upright while on the trail a few days ago. Werewolf and Tibus both use a captured nut, but you can access the CV nut from the outside with Tibus whereas with WW you gotta split the housing. Which is annoying as hell.

Portals definitely don’t have any increased load on the balljoints. Ask any aerospace engineer!
I was surprised at how heavy the tibus portal was, but it was bolted to the Belltech upright and those are four inches taller to account for the diff drop. Popping it off the thing was pretty manageable and lightweight.
To answer your question-yeah Tibus is lighter. The Werewolf portals, especially the fronts, are chonky as shit.
