Read your additional posts… you put the 3n1 inside fender wells. Haven’t seen product in hand, but is it durable to withstand the rocks, debri, and the weight of snow & ice inside fender well? I’d think if spraying undercoat, you use that in fender?

That 3in1 Hybird is an interesting & excellent setup of material. Different than SoundSkin… I lean to maybe better. Although you need the foil layer (Siless 80 as example) if wanted to include foil for shape & heat bar.

You took more the exterior approach except head liner. That’s another possible, I undercoated my F450 and it made a diff in Cab.

Altough the 3in1 and extra butel layer on inside sounds like a great option over SoundSkins.
So, the layers would go as such:
Inner metal fender > 3in1 Hybrid
Plastic fender liner (inner) > some kind of soft mat
Plastic fender liner (outer) > sprayable undercoat / deadener

I'll go out in a bit and take a Pic of it, if its not real clear; but, once you've got that hybrid mat rolled on really well, its not coming off, but its also protected by the Plastic liner, so no need to worry about rocks and such.

The moving blankets on top of the bimini between that and the top is a good idea from @Thatguylegit69
Yeah, those blankets are clutch. The blue ones wear down after a year or so, so spring the extra $3 for the heavy duty ones.

I haven't lined my A-pillars yet. Im sure that was tedious. Im working on the hood now. Youre right, those octagon raised ribs suck. But, im cutting them out to fit. I'll let you know if that's worth it haha

Ok, I gotcha… I wasn‘t thinking of outer fender liner.

Also for the folks that haven’t had the joy of going back in after some time passes :

The rubber gets all goopy and sticky over time - it traps dirt like amber in Jurassic Park and sticks to everything like road tar. Have fun

That’s not exciting… sounds a bit messy.
Also interesting, Butyl rubber has a poor resistance to oils, gasoline and some solvents causing it to break down, and above Temps 245F and fire.

I wonder why it breaks down behind panels or under flooring when not exposed to above.

My best guess is that I was using Russia’s finest Kilamat.

… That plus the Hotheads headliner is putting the Bronco where it should have come factory sound deadening-wise
Was reviewing comments and caught your Hotheads headliner. I read mixed reviews on them, but to me they appear to be a great product. You find them to be very worthwhile?

Reached out to them in March and they didn’t provide a kit for Painted Hardttops yet.
Sounds like they intend to add both the normal array of colors and the suede for the Painted tops.

If they add Painter Tops to their products, I’ll probably invest in a roof kit.

Their 3M VHB tape needs to be wider.. it ships with 3/8" VHB and it really should be at least 3/4" to 1".

I would recommend replacing at least the two front panels (and midpanels if you have more door) VHB tape areas before installing. I had the panels drop over the winter and had to pull them off. Sanded the top and the headliner strips with a Scotch brite to ensure adhesion.
