Anyone running 35x11.5s on a Sasquatch? Do they look smaller than stock?

My stock Sasquatch Goodyear 315/70R17s are getting pretty worn, so I’m starting to look at replacements.


I’m leaning toward a 35x11.5R17 because I’d like to drop some width and hopefully improve the way the truck drives a little. The problem is, most of the 35x11.5 setups I’ve found are on non-Sas Broncos going up from 32s or 33s.


Has anyone here gone from the factory Sasquatch 315/70R17s directly to a 35x11.5R17?


I’m mainly worried about the tire looking smaller after spending the money. I don’t care if it’s narrower — I already have 1.5” spacers — but I definitely don’t want the truck to look like it lost tire height or wheel-well fill.


The two I’m looking at are:


BFG KO3 35x11.5R17 — listed around 34.5”
Falken Wildpeak A/T4W 35x11.5R17 — listed around 35”


Has anyone actually put either one side by side with the stock Sasquatch Goodyear before mounting them?


I’d especially love to see a straight side-by-side photo or an actual tape-measure comparison. I’m curious if the A/T4W is really a true 35 in the real world, and whether either tire makes a Sasquatch look like it lost some beef.


Any pics from Sasquatch owners would be appreciated. Not really looking for non-Sas 35” conversions since the stock starting point is completely different.

Just checking that you are aware the goodyears measure at 34.3-34.4" right?

They're not going to be any smaller diameter wise. If you find ones thats a true 35 it will be taller, and a regular 34.5 will be identical.

From the side, it shouldn’t look any different as long as you get something close to 34 or 35 inches tall. From the front and the rear it might look like you skipped leg day.

1/2” on each side of tire… pretty much non-noticeable. Depending on tire and side lugs, patterns it could easily look similar width!

As others have pointed out, the stock “35s” are on the shorter side and nearly every other make of claimed 35” tire is taller. The difference isn’t huge but it is noticeable. Will you notice the width change? Yes, I think you will. That may be even more noticeable than the height. Running a different tire/tread design matters here visually (even if the same size). My setup parked next to a factory Sasquatch looks taller and narrower (because they are). I like the look but it is subjective, right?

The listed height of the Falken is about half an inch taller than the factory setup. Note, all BFGs are generally shorter than their same listed-size peer group, sometimes by a lot. The Falkens are considered a “true 35”.

I run Nitto Trail Grapplers in 35x11.5 MTs and love them (I live in a semi-remote location and my house is about ten miles from pavement). I have them on three vehicles and one is on its 2nd set. Anyhow, I know you want Sasquatch feedback but I can offer that on mine, with Sasquatch fenders, raised to Sasquatch height, on OEM beadlock wheels, accomplishes what I wanted — less width to have slightly better effective scrub radius and fling less mud onto the body. The tires are more tucked in and the visual difference compared to a 12.5” tire is quite apparent. There is less “tramlining” too. Steering has less kickback. This will probably be easier on the front-end overall too.

Mine is a conversion, however. It has everything a Sasquatch has and is visually indistinguishable apart from the tires, of course. My online search suggests the Nitto is .3 to .5” taller than the OEM configuration. I hope this helps!

In my years of dealing with truck tires, I found that the tires are ALWAYS smaller than advertised. My GY Territory 315/70 is actually a 33.5 with minimal wear, on the ground not mounted, not a 34.4 as suggested. Given they are excellent tires, they are not 35s.
My current 37x12.5 is a 36.25, and my 33x10.5 Razr on the Tacoma is 32. The BFG KM3 35x12.5 is a 34 as well. They save on the 1 inch per every tire I supposes.

Heard somebody wants to see a muddy Bronco! It is monsoon season here in SE AZ! So, I did say “less” mud, it is never clean…

Also, here it is before the Bilstein 5100s. My aim was to set it to factory Sasquatch height and it is pretty much there (possibly a hair taller).

Really appreciate the detailed reply! This is actually super helpful, especially the real-world feedback on how the 11.5s drive and look next to a factory Sasquatch. Sounds pretty much like what I’m trying to achieve. Thanks for taking the time to write all that up!

The data shows that tire in a 17 inch wheel, measure in at 35.0 fully inflated on the wheel.
If that is the case, we refer to that is about true to size as it gets.
I checked two tire sources that give variation data, and it stated the 35x12.5 as 35.1, comparable.
