I was involved in a four car pile-up on the freeway yesterday and my Bronco was the only vehicle able to drive away from the scene. The GMC Sierra that rear-ended me sustained quite a bit of damage and had to be hauled away on a flatbed same as the other two cars. Luckily there were no injuries with all airbags deploying in the smaller two cars. The only damage to the Bronco was the door being pushed in a bit where the spare attaches to it and a couple scratches on the hitch receiver. More than likely going to need a new rear door.

Which vehicle was the initial impact? Was the GMC pushed into you, or did they rearend you causing the other vehicles to impact it?

Your Bronco may look fine, but there is a good chance of hidden damage. Get it thoroughly checked out by a reputable body shop. There could be problems like bent frame members that are expensive to fix.

Those little cars are demolished.
Glad everyone is ok, looks like people not paying attention and driving too close.
I hate not being able to see 3 cars ahead of me when in heavy traffic that’s moving swiftly.

THIS!!! Also, get a screen shot of pre-crash value and demand a reimbursement of the difference after having one crash report. Everything insurance offers you is a settlement you must agree too. EVERYTHING!

Great points! Even with a full repair, you'll be faced with diminished resale value. That's something you should be fully compensated for. Get that number on your own and don't let insurance shortchange you.

From the GMC’s Ft End, more specifically the Ft Bumper area… I’d say your trailer hitch took the brunt of the energy. Spare tire gave a good defense in displacing energy back to his grill and roof,

I’d look at the hitch and lower frame section for any bends. We’re brakes On or Off… your forward motion probably helped transmit energy too!

Is the Camera fine? As the Sierra is tall enough to hit it.

Oh geez!! Glad everyone is ok! This is why nowadays it’s best to drive SUVs and trucks.. people are too dumb on the road and small cars can’t take the damage well to save occupants.
