Welcome and nice build!

Looks like you have a mismatched spare. Since you have the advanced 4WD transfer case in your Badlands, which uses a clutch pack to vary power distribution in 4A, most recommend carrying a matching spare tire and doing 5-tire rotations every 5k to keep your spare useable in any drive mode. Otherwise, you really want to use that alternative tire only in 2WD for emergencies.
I do - and am debating the merits of trying to sell the spare and replace it with a matching considering it’s there (in my mind) as an emergency item. Likely try to sell it at some point, but given all the other stuff I want to do, it’s not the priority.

Very nice! Similar to my 2-dr build. I'm still trying to find a place to mount my traction boards.

Curious about the mounting of your RTT, with the opening towards the front. Have never seen that before.
I chose to mount it in that orientation because I will eventually have an awning (driver side) and solar shower (passenger side). The plan will be able to clear those with the ladder - at the driver (and maybe also passenger) door. With the tent oriented the other way, the only way up would be the center / back - which would require closing a 270 awning. And the ladder would interfere at all times with the opening of the rear of the vehicle.

I had the same conundrum. I did the 270 awning on the drivers side and ladder on the passenger, RTT opening from the rear. Not to the point of a solar shower yet. So much to do with so little time (and funds).

Happy new owner of a 2021 Badlands 2-Door with a 7MT.

The most reasonbly priced 2dr 7MT I could find was the Badlands edition with the Lux Package. I hated the idea of giving up heated seats for the Canadian winters.

Any advice is welcome.
Even though you had to give up the heated seat option because you purchased the Badlands trim, if you are motivated, you could install seat heaters yourself. Search the forums titles only for heated seats and you'll see several relevant results on the first page alone. One owner toook an easy route by installing seat heaters and seat covers. He installed the heater switches in the center console near the power window switches, and they match well.

Must have misunderstood - mine is the Badlands with Lux and therefore has all the bells and whistles … including heated seats and steering wheel. I was worried I might have missed out on those (but didn’t!)

Oh, OK. The Lux package doesn't automatically include heated seats (I have a Badlands Lux). You have to option the leather to get heated seats. The MGV seats do not come with seat heaters. Glad you are setup with them, as you'll surely want them in your Great White North winters. :)
