The more I see that blacked out base grill the more I like it…. I may go for the total blacked out look. Anyone else going in that direction? Tinted windows, black bead locks…Just a couple pictures of my bronco
I have a Toyota pickup on 31s and I put a black grill on it long ago and blacked out the Toyota lettering. When I saw this option on the base it was a no brainer for me . I think it should be on a higher trim option because I think it looks the best lol . Yeah black on black on black on black on black is the end goal .The more I see that blacked out base grill the more I like it…. I may go for the total blacked out look. Thats tooo much. How much do the rings cost from Ford.I was quoted 250$ to powder coat all the the beauty rings black . Not sure if that’s a good deal but I’m sold .
I haven’t seen any rings from Ford . Hmmm maybe I should look into thatThats tooo much. How much do the rings cost from Ford.
$50 per ring would be about right here in the Chicago area , not an unreasonable amount in my opinion if that's the route you wanted to go.I haven’t seen any rings from Ford . Hmmm maybe I should look into that
I have a Shadow Black F150. NEVER AGAIN....impossible to keep clean....looks like shit in the sun with all the swirls in the clear coat. It will look good for a few months after you buy it, but it is all downhill from there. Strongly advise you go with another color.I’ve been pretty adamant about ordering Shadow Black since I reserved. I keep reading and hearing that black is hard to keep clean/scratches/swirls/etc.
Will a ceramic coat and due diligence be the trick? I’ve always wanted a black vehicle and had to compromise various times.
Honestly, it’s not the dirt and mud I’m worried about. It’s the long term appearance of the paint itself. I tend to keep my rides for the lifetime of the vehicle and don’t want to regret it 5-10 years down the line.
I’m just not into the other colors available at the moment.
My Dad always told me , Nothing looks better than a clean black car , and nothing looks worse than a dirty one . It always stuck with me and at 48 years old I've still never owned a black vehicle .I have a Shadow Black F150. Love the stripes. Very retro, i need those!Waiting on my Shadow Black Base. Build Week 8/9.
I'm going old school along these lines though I have a few stripe designs and colors to play with first.

I want mine so black that people think there is a giant void in in the space time continuum when they see me go by and they get frightened just enough to pee themselves just a drop or two.The more I see that blacked out base grill the more I like it….
