Nice Bronco and thanks for your service! I too have a VB Bronco and patches all over my roofliner. It’s funny seeing the “No Boom without the Boom” patch because I teach at the B-52 FTU and one of the classes years ago made that their class patch.
Haha that's awesome! I got that patch from bomberpatches.com. The site is ran by a B52 guy. He made a few of our Friday patches as well. I teach at the KC-135 FTU. Thank you for your service as well!

That was going to be my next question. Kerry “Postal” Baker. Know him well! He makes just about all of our patches these days!

USMC state plate plus a 3-inch window decal. Other than that, not much. Got an incident to share.

Some people put religious, military, other insignia on their cars to signal cops that "they're okay." Especially USMC stuff, because so many cops are Jarheads. (Which is decreasing, too bad.) When I was a cop, I pulled over a guy on a red light. He didn't have a veteran plate, but he had a Globe & Anchor decal stuck on his passenger plate (illegal). He also had a small USMC decal on his drivers license. What kind of Marine is this?

With his drivers license and registration in hand, I asked him a few trick questions. Conversation, almost verbatim:
"So, Paris Island or San Diego?" (Where did he go through basic.)
"Sorry, Officer, I thought the light was yellow." (It wasn't.)
"What was your MOS?" (Military Occupational Specialty--you NEVER forget your MOS.)
"Wasn't it yellow? I'm sure it was, Officer."

I returned to the cruiser and wrote him the fines for the red light and alteration of his license plate. Returning with the ticket, I asked him about the USMC regalia.
"Oh, I have a brother in the Marines," he (tried to) explained.
Yeah, sure you do, I thought. I told the fake gyrene how to answer the ticket and sent him on his way.

I joined the Navy (1968-74) to see the world (it's mostly water). One of the best decisions I ever made. Have Navy Veteran plate and the Tonkin Gulf Yacht club decal on my back window.

I can’t match the sacrifice most have done, as I served during the Cold War. We each do our part.

Army 2000-2010

11B airborne infantry 2/504 PIR 82ABN, Kosovo, Afghanistan

Then 91W combat medic (now 68W) in the same battalion, first time to Iraq

Then 91D surgical assistant (now 68D) in Germany

Then 97E human intelligence collector (now 35M) 209th MICO, 2 ID Last 2 times in Iraq.

We just got home from a trip to Wyoming... Visited the national military vehicle museum in Duboise. Awesome collection. The owner did a tour himself... Bought his first tank in 2010, second one in 2014, and now has over 500! Not to mention Higgins boats, jeeps, artillery pieces, the Bunker Hill musket, USS Missouri naval gun breaches, half tracks, motorcycles, air craft, and more. The tour in the building is 1 1/2 miles long and spans WWI through the Vietnam era.
The current building is 144,000 SF, with lots of vehicles outside, and apparently that's only about half of what he has... Plans are in the works to expand already. Really nice guy. Super patriotic. Never served but obviously loves his country and appreciates anyone who served.

Small, small world. Spent time in both of those units. Worked in Brigade HQ for 504 PIR (1 BDE, 82d Airborne) in the mid 90s. Served in 3-2 Stryker BCT (commanded D/1-14 CAV) during the unit's first deployment in 2003.

I also started out as an 11B (2/75 Ranger Bn)... before I went into Military Intelligence after getting commissioned thru OCS.

Thanks for your service!

I have a Coast Guard Retired license plate frame. One of the boats, a 40 footer, I drove in Boston was built before I was born!

I was the last to be demoted to SSG cause I was on a 50 day special assignment, then avoided seeing my first sgt for a few days. All the E7’s in my unit finally gained up on me. It sucked….

Second coolest bomber out there! Put a 5 in front of the 2 and you’re good to go!
Ya, my first job was mostly B-52/ALCM/Harpoon/SRAM, even did one B-1/ALCM, then went to Eddie's Airplane Patch as the B-2 OT&E Weapons Injuneer.
