Bronco family:
I want to share a link to the story Fox News did on our family and our very special Bluey the Bronco for my autistic daughter this morning. The experience has been surreal and this vehicle has a special place in all our hearts. I do want to clarify that Ford did not "gift" us a Bronco. My monthly car note is very, very real
.
However, they did gift us an absolutely amazing, once in a lifetime experience. I can't thank Ford and the Michigan Assembly Plant enough. Everyone there was like talking with family. The plant is amazing - be confident in your purchases. They really strive to make sure our Broncos are road/dirt ready. The logistic process from sheet steel to the finished vehicle is mind boggling.
As a LONG time Jeep owner, this experience has brought me back to Ford in a BIG way. For a multinational company to go out of their way for a small, random family has been nothing short of extraordinary.
If I can piggyback on World Autism Awareness Day - if the hiring power is bestowed upon you, please consider hiring those that are neurodivergent (or suffer from any disability for that matter). Disabled workers are usually fiercely loyal and have a lot more pride in the work than say you or me. We live in a small town and have really struggled finding our daughter a place to work. I've become convinced that my wife or I will eventually have to quit one of our jobs to offer ourselves up as her personal "work coach" OR create our own small business opportunity for her to succeed in.
