Hey all,

I've successfully installed an OBX 10-way powered leather seat in my 2022 4dr Big Bend w/mid package. Big thanks to @Ducati1098 for help with the wiring diagrams. Truth be told, it's completely plug and play. No modification needed in order to make this work. The wiring harness has all the necessary connections to make the swap. If you're looking to do the same on your Bronco, just make sure all of the wires you see below are present and it should work.

Wiring harness/connector to the driver's side seat.

This is awesome!!!! Exactly what I have wanted to do since I got my Bronco.

I have the same trim level as you. Could you add a few details for me, where is the harness I need to look for? Under the dash?

Is that harness just for seat power? So everything else (airbags and such) remains is?

Big question, where did you get the seat?

Oh, and most important, for me anyway, when the power seat is all the way down is it as low as the manual seat? I need my seat bottomed out to fit right.

Thanks for posting, this is a killer mod!!!

The harness and connector are directly under your seat. You'll see it poking out from the carpet.

I setup an alert on eBay for Ford Bronco leather drivers seat. I've missed a few opportunities, but was able to get this one. I've seen pricing from $500-800. Also, you'll need to ship to a business or a place with a loading dock or fork lift. Or, you can pay for a fork lift, which could get pricey.

That said, eBay isn't the only place, as you can contact any nearby junk yard to see if they have any wrecked Broncos.

Let me confirm your last question and get back to you.

Really appreciate the info! I set an eBay alarm and am 100% on the now on a mission to get this done. I got stuck with MGV in my truck so I have already bought a full set of OEM take off Big Bend cloth covers ready to go.😁

Are you certain that you cannot? It is possible the same wiring harnesses are still there on the two doors. You would just lose your ability to get into the backseat on the driver side. I would definitely do it on my two door Outer Banks to have the power seat option. Already have leather.

Absolutely 👍🏻

The powered seat doesn’t get quite as low as the manual seat. If I had to guess, it’s close to 4 clicks up on the manual seat.

Cool.

Nirvana for me would be doing this in my 2-door but then recovering it back in MGV. Well, that would just be nice. Nirvana would be if that setup also had memory. Considering I'd be doing the seat swap (if even possible) and a seat material swap, that wouldn't be worth it unless I also get memory settings, which realistically won't ever happen, so the next best thing is to try to convince my wife to crank the seat height a consistent number of times so that I can crank it back down a specific number of times and get to my favorite position. As it is now, I have to go all the way to the lowest setting and then back up a few times. 🙂
