Vehicle: 2021 Bronco Big Bend
Engine: 2.3L EcoBoost
Transmission: 7-Speed Manual (with crawler)
Mileage: 85.5K

I started this build with one goal: make the Bronco more engaging to drive and more usable in the real world—while fixing a few things I personally feel should’ve come stock. It’s a daily driver that’s seen dirt, mud, mountains, and air. It’s done road trips, long days behind the wheel, and plenty of stop-and-go. No trailer life, no show-only parts.

Most of the focus has been on drivability, lighting, power management, and protection, while keeping the truck reliable and livable.

Mods (Currently Installed):
  • Ford Performance ProCal 4 Tune
  • Armadillo Designs Slantback Hard Top
  • South Bend Stage 2 Endurance Clutch (SMF)
  • B&M Short-Throw Shifter
  • Steeda 40% Softer Clutch Spring
  • Flowmaster Outlaw Axle-Back Exhaust
  • Boomba Throttle Body Spacer
  • Peak Suspension 2.5 inch DSC Coil-over Summit Kit
  • DV8 Offroad Front & Rear Bumpers
  • DV8 Spare Tire Guard
  • DV8 Overhead MOLLE Panel
  • RPM Bronco Exterior Door Protection Panels
  • DV8 Black Headlights
  • DV8 Bumper-Mounted Aux Lighting
  • M&R Automotive Boomerang Ditch Lights
  • Oracle Integrated Windshield Light Bar (no housing)
  • Genesis Offroad Dual Battery System
  • Cascadia 4x4 Solar Panels
  • Kicker Speaker Upgrade
  • Stinger Audio Amp
  • AudioControl Tailgate Sub

With all of this installed, daily driving is definitely an experience. The process has very much been a break it, replace it, and try again approach—and honestly, that’s been part of the fun. From light to moderate off-road use, long-distance trips, and everyday driving, this build isn’t for everyone.

Some people will love it, some won’t—and that’s fine. BroncoNon is built around the manual transmission and actually being driven in real-world situations, whether that’s a quick run, a long cruise, or needing the truck to move now.

Quick sanity check / FAQ
  • Clutch & tune: Stage 2 clutch has been solid with the ProCal 4 tune. Pedal feel is better than stock. Some added noise from the single-mass flywheel is expected.
  • Drivetrain: No driveshaft changes needed with this setup so far.
  • Suspension: Rides well on and off road. Alignment after install is a must.
  • Electrical: Dual battery plus solar has handled lighting and audio without voltage issues, even at idle or when parked.
  • Lighting: Windshield light bar stays clean and quiet without a housing—install quality matters.
  • Audio: Amp and tailgate sub combo works well and pairs nicely with the Kicker Audio speakers

I'm not familiar with NEPT or the glass door function. I was interested because I have a locking fuel cap behind the stock filler door of my Bronco, on account of having had someone pour oil down the filler of a previous vehicle. I wouldn't mind having a locking door instead.

Wow $500 is a lot of coin for a gas tank door. It's also a poor use of CF, a structural material, when the advantages (and cost) of the material aren't warranted and serve no real purpose.

I guess you are in the camp that like the looks of CF in non structural applications?

I was fortunate enough to find it on ebay for half that price. And im not one for or against the CF functionality, there is just no other brand that has made a window fuel Door

what is at the top of the side rear door windows? Are those circles mesh screens to provide ventilation while keeping rain out?
Those are window vents from Visual autowerks.
They do that and keep the bugs out.

Nice build!

How well are the DV8 headlights holding up? I’ve been looking at those but was unsure of the quality.

I think it looks good. I like unique Broncos that stand out and yours definitely does that. Any chance you tracked the weight from beginning to ”end”?

Makes sense. Never seen those before.

What is attached around the side mirrors - what does that do?
Those are just outer mirrors guards, i found that it helped keep the two pieces (front and back) together, and they have action camera mounts on top.
