Trash MPG. I appreciate everyone's input about "city miles are hard on mpg" -- but Ford estimated 17 in the city. FTR, I don't accelerate hard from a stop. (If anything, I've babied it because I wanted to prove to my wife that it gets good gas mileage.) MPG is what it is. Still a fun truck.

Ford Bronco 2.3L Big Bend MPG after 784 miles: 20-25 MPG MPG
Something has to be off there.

BL 2.3 MT here, about 200 miles in. Averaging 18.5, almost all city so far. I do a lot of highway for work, so Iā€™m really looking forward to seeing how it does.

FYI:
So I manually calculated MPG on 2 tanks of gas.

Fill up #1 was 23.4 The computer said 24.4
Fill up #2 was 22.99 The computer said 23.5
Not as good as the very first fill up

I have a little over 400 miles on my badlands 2.3l 4 door non-sas and the computer says I'm getting 12.3 mpg. I guess i don't understand the point of putting these tiny engines in a vehicle if they don't get amazing gas mileage? BTW its a manual and i mostly baby the crap out of my velocity blue baby.

I have to treat it really nice and you need to go steady state or a lot of highway to get up to 25 but I have had similar results. After 6000 mi with my manual trans I get 18-21 in cold weather and not being easy on the throttle mostly city and 21-25 with more bias toward freeway and light on the throttle. Overall pretty happy with gas mileage for what it is.

This is good. And, if you arenā€™t calculating it yourself at fill-up, I have found that it is not accurate. My wife and I clock every single tank. Even in our newer fancier cars, the computer is off by 1.5-3.5 gallons. Every single time.

(Screen ALWAYS says itā€™s getting better than it is)
Some of them are better than others, my 2018 F150 is always within +/- 0.5 mpg calculated MPG vs Computer MPG. Hopefully the Bronco will be that close.

Base 2.3 auto on stock tires for now I'm getting 20.5 around town and on a recent trip to California I got 21 to 24.5 on the highway. Calculated milage is around 1 mpg less than indicated. When that turbo spools all bets are offšŸ˜³

I'm at 8K miles in my BL 2.3 MT. Haven't reset the MPGs yet and it's at 19.7. This truck loves running 40-60 MPH, but start losing MPGs over 70. I lose MPG on interstate trips and gain some back driving around town. Seems pretty backwards, but driving a cube against the wind is hard work.

So after 784 miles I've been getting 20-25 MPG all day long and haven't dropped below 19 yet. I know I have stock tires and will upgrade at some point. Anyone else getting this kind of millage?
That's pretty much what I get with my 2-door Base Sasquatch except when I head up in the mountains. Then it's more like 17 or so. But I'll be back over 18 before I get to the end of the tank.

Crawling up and down rough roads tends to cut into the mileage a bit. I think the best I've seen was 24 mpg between Boise and Salt Lake City.
