2.7L Engine Sounds Good But Is It Real?

When I get on the throttle off the line my 2.7L engine sounds great. It's got a nice throaty rumble. Is that coming from the engine itself, the exhaust, or is it fake like I've heard other cars have through the speakers.

I can tell you the 2.3L does not have augmented engine noise... so I'm going to assume the 2.7L is the same.

I think it has some engine noise piped in but to be honest, like our Explroer ST, it sounds amazing even if it is fake.

It is definitely fake.

I'm pretty sure you still hear chimes and alarms when the radio is off. Unplug your speakers and stomp on the throttle a few times and get back to us.

It’s real and louder in sport mode…watched an audio install YouTube and rear cargo floor just above exhaust pipe and muffler is very thin material and if you remove the cargo floor storage bin there’s a hole to outside.

My Bronco sounds a little throaty when i start it up in the morning but after about 20 miles or so its whisper quiet ..... in traffic I only know the engine is off when the START/STOP function kicks in ...... I can't relate to your question at all

I think my 2.7 with the B&O had some fake engine noise going on. I replaced all the speakers and added an amp and real sub, and could detect it more. Then shortly after got the Ford Performance Borla exhaust and now I have no idea.

I have a badlands 2.7 with the high package. I used to have a badlands 2.7 with the lux package with the B&O. Both sounded way different with the B&O system equipped bronco sounding more throaty and aggressive. Everything else was the same between both rigs. Based off of that, I will say if you have a B&O equipped bronco, chances are the sound you are hearing is fake.

Not getting my Wildtrak for Exhaust sound or trying to make the Exhaust sound good. It's still just a V6. I'll enjoy the other parts of the Bronco.
